Maybe I should try and see if I can get UT running in 2560x1440.

I'm actually going to buy a new PC to replace the one I've used (at
home) since I played UT (*gasp*),
thus I suddenly thought about all the games I will be able to play
after this buy,
and then I thought about the OLD games, and how I just LOVED UT, and
then I thought about the nice
UT news group I was active in, so I checked it just NOW, and saw your

i still sometimetimes play utgoty (the classic version from 1999) online.
I often play UT2K4 mostly, especially the racing tracks-maps.
Also I play UT3 often, but I like most UT2K4.
playing with AMD Radeon 3870 @ 1680x1050 on an Intel E2180 overclocked
@3GHz
with 6gig ADATA-Extreme Ram.
I play with a 5 button mouse at the right hand and (this is very strange
for most people!)
on the left hand i play with joystick.
Mouse is for viewing, aiming and shooting and some weapon changes.
Joystick is for moving, strafing, ducking and weapon changing and for
UT2k4 and UT3 for some specials in vehicles and turrets.
rocks ass.
I love the UT-Series and bought them all, 2k4 even in the special
metal box with UT-headset.
Happy fragging to all those old school UT players from germany!!!

I can't even describe how nice it is to see your nym. there is exactly one
no-bullshit DM server left in the US that is generally populated. Every
time I connect to {ROT}FullMetalJacket and play straight DM, I remember the
days whe your server was my favorite haunt. I'm afraid my beloved UT is
almost dead, but it sure is nice to see an old friend.

I've had it at that res and higher. In fact, modern hardware can get UT
running in opengl spread across three 1080 monitors (maybe more - UT gets
its possible res from what windows reports as possible and it's smooth as
butter at 60hz on three - If I had four, I'd try it). - The bezels are
annoying as hell, but that's how I play from work.

I'm still very active in the scene. I've made several gametypes and a bunch of mods that are used across UT servers. Currently working on a new fun mod called FoodFight at UT99.org so feel free to drop by there. I go by the name JackGriffin (google it heh) and it's a good group with active posters.
I still run servers so anytime we want a 15 year AGUT reunion on-server you just let me know ;) I'll also help you guys if you need anything so look me up. I still use my agut email: agutgopostal at hotmail dot com.
