hi, i am a close to gm (99.6) alchemist. i have heard of many people
talking about 5th level poisons. my first question is: do they exist? if
they do, then what skills do i need to attempt and how many nightshades
does it take to make one and also what's the % of success? and more
importantly, how much do they sell for? currently, i see deadlies going
at about 200gps, occassionally as low as 150.

my next question pertains to the poisoner who will be using the 5th level
poison. is there a minimum skill level that i should achieve before
attempting 5th level poisoning?

finally, can greater cure potions cure deadly poison? i know the An Nox
spell doesn't effectively.

btw,

actually, an alchemist can't make the 5th level poisons. The 5th level
poisons are only present in a few monsters (silver serpent and poison
elementals to name a few). These poisons are so deadly, that they'll kill
any person, no matter what your hp is, in a matter of seconds. I've been
bit and poisoned by a silver serpent. I casted Cure and cured myself right
before I would've died (1 hp left) and I started out with 100 hp in only 20
seconds ago. That's how potent it is.

Allegedly, 5th levels sometimes did(still do??) occur when dealing with
deadly poisoned food. I'm afraid I don't waste too many deadlies on
food, so I'm not sure if it's true or not. I've heard rumors that they
may allow us alchs to make 5th's, but as far as I know they're just
rumors.

Near as I can tell, the only way to get the effect of a level 5 poison is to
trap a chest. I don't have any characters capable of this, but it is my
understanding that a GM tinker can trap a chest with a poison potion of any
kind and get a "level 5" effect. I happen to know these things do exist and
they CANNOT be cured. At least two GM mages were casting cure and archcure
all over the place trying to cure one poor fool who opened a trapped chest.
We eventually had to let him die and res him. This also happened to me as
Heph my master mage, but I was able to recall to my house, strip off my
belongings (healing myself twice) and die peacefully at home, confident of
regaining my items.

Level 5 poisons exist in monsters only, at the moment. To my knowledge, they
can only be found in the poison elemental. (Silver Serpent uses deadly, not
level 5).
Level 5 poisons ARE possible to cure, but you need about 1-4 GREATER cure
POTIONS (spells don't work on lv5). OSI Is thinking about implementing a small

chance for master and gm poisoners to be able to poison 1 level higher than
what is on the weapon when THEY hit with it.. (Not if you buy one
and use it with a 0 skill poisoner character). Thus making it possible
for a GM poisoner with a deadly poisoned weapon to use level
5 poison.

yes at one time you could make 5th lev poisons by
a gm tinker traped box with 4th level poison and untraping the box
the poison would go back in you bag and would be tag as a 5lth lev
poison but that was fixed so thay say try it if you can if it works
let as know
