The status of each of these utilities can be found at UO ~ UTILDA.
www.utilda.com where you will find a list of websites, download links, and
contacts points for each of these applications.
In the coming months it is our hope to expand the website to cater for other
games like EverQuest and Asheron's Call. However our next big project that
we are working on adding to the site is a list of the known UO Emulator
utilities and servers and possibly other material related to the Ultima
Series.
Websites and search engines are regularly checked for new or unknown
utilities but the odd one always slips through. If you know of a utility
that is not listed here, please contact us at in...@utilda.com as we would
love to know about it.
Many thanks

i thought it was good post. It has a link where people who are nterested can
goto and find out more information. The post listed the general, basic info
and invited you to find out more information by following a link.
Relax.

Well I am guessing the point of this post is to tell players that
there is some programs out there so they can make the game easier and
more playable, i.e. more fun.
I had posted this message once before and got an overwhelming number of
E-mails asking for more information and where to find these utilities.
Rather than flood this newsgroups with posts about where to find each
application I formed "Utilda" and spent two months researching on the net
where these tools could be found. We also wrote to and confirmed the
information we had discovered with as many developers we could.

Actually most of the utilities listed will NOT get your account banned from
playing UO by OSI.
Of course some macro tools and character helpers will if you misuse them.
We of course list links on our website to many applications such as
calculators and configuration tools and such that in no way interfere with
the UO Client and have no purpose running with the game. Several of the
mapping tools and helper tools also have no contact with the UO client.
Only a very small percentage have features that could be detected by OSI or
are even useful for things that break the player code of conduct.
Additionally we list all the UO Pro utilities which are indeed approved for
use with UO.
We provided a "list only" for three reasons.
1) To allow people to examine the list and see what actually exists. To
assist people finding a tool that they may already be looking for. Some
tools are hard to find.
2) It is easier to maintain a website which is central than to track
revisions of lists with lots of details.
Also it would chew up less bandwidth which seems to also be your complaint.
3) Many people suggested a website as an ideal choice. By doing a
website only the people who are interested need go there an navigate to what
they want easier than wading through a lot of text where we really are
limited in what we can provide.

We are currently working on collecting or writing descriptions for each
utility but since there is about 87+ so far we hoped that just the links and
websites associated with the apps would at least be helpful for the moment.
Our aim was to provide this as a service to the online gaming community and
not to clog your mail client.
I sincerely apologise is this was the case and it was definitely not our
intention to do so.
My suggestion would be to anyone inconvienced by this sort of post that you
add my e-mail address to your .kill file so you are not further
inconvenienced by any future posts from me.
I hope this clears up the matter and addresses your concerns...
Once again sorry for the inconvenience.
