Good luck. I suspect you'll have a hard time finding games that
outright ban helper apps, partly because of the man-hours necessary to
be certain everybody complies. I've seen telnet BBS sysops bang "no
helpers allowed" games and then give up in frustration when they
discover that it's virtually impossible to tell who is cheating unless
you want to stare at the monitoring window any time somebody is
online.
If you really wanted to do something for the "casual" TW2002
community, you could try to write an app that detects SWATH and other
TW helpers.

Hey, an answer! Somebody IS here!
Unfortunately, I'd have to know HOW to write one first! :(
I've since found TWX, which theoretically could be superior. Problem is,
the # of scripts for that is impossible to find now it seems.
Many that I have don't work right for some reason.
Some that were working, don't now :(
Can't figure it.
The most catastrophic is that the ZTM ones don't.
Well, I'm not sure about the ultra ultra slow one that's included, because
it takes so long in can't complete! (12hrs for 5000sect)
The good one runs, but not for over 1000sect.
But, it used to!
I've upgraded, downgraded, cleared the registry of any refs, put it back,
and NO DICE!
I sure hope somebody out there is reading this and knows of some other ZTM
scripts.
I've just wasted hours looking on the web, and nothing :(
Reallly low activity on "othernets" on BBS's too :(

If I had the skills, I might be thinking about doing the same. (Then
again, I might not; I've got a full load already.) The TW fan
community is small and widely dispersed, so unfortunately the old
truism applies: "If ya want it done right, ya gotta do it yaself..."

Hmmm. I mean no offense, but I suspect the problem is with your
computer, and not the code. I've never had any problems with the
"slow" ZTM script that comes with TWX Proxy.

Try the Grimy Trader's Script Database at www.grimytrader.com; it's
still reasonably active. I've had good experiences with proZTM
(available at Grimy's), if the out-of-the-box ZTM in TWX Proxy isn't
working for you.
