(Spoiler)Tomb Raider 3 @ Comic-Con International: San Diego

and Eidos had a booth and they had playable versions of Tomb Raider 3,
Ninja, and Fighting Force 64. Me and this one guy helped each other
get farthest in the game, that's what this one guy at the Eidos booth
said. He said he has'nt seen anyone, including himself get that far
in TR3, which was surprising because he said he was a game tester for
Eidos. Well, on to the game and how far me and the other dude got.

of the game you want to discover for yourself! Spoiler Alert!

Lara is an a tropical/south seas enviornment and starts out in a cave
under a forest canopy. Draw your guns and run forward and kill the
tiger. Keep guns drawn and run forward. Get ready to kill another
tiger in the tall grass. Run forward and jump as far as possible over
mud pit. Wade through mud pit and climb up. Draw guns and run at
11 o'clock and kill tiger. Keep 11 o'clock and run up ancient steps.
Tiger will come behind you, so kill it. Run to top of steps and hang
a left and go to tunnel that leads outside. Squat and roll under
cave blockage. Go to outside and jump 12 o'clock off cliff into
lake and swim 12 o'clock. Swim straight and you shoud hit a cave.
Walk into it and light a flare. Walk left and jump the ledge to other
side and climb up. Follow path carefully to bridge. Cross bridge
and walk carefully to the right. Jump ledge and climb up ladder.
Jump ledge to the right again and climb up ladder. You'll be in
a small room with a swing. Grab swing and slide all the way down. Upon
landing, go left and cross bridge. You'll be in a room and follow
till you hit obstruction. Squat-roll under it. Now turn 180 degrees
and walk backwards through the tunnel. Go back untill you can look
up and see the big rolling ball trap above you(ala Indiana Jones).
Now, climb up the ledge on the right or left, does'nt matter, and go
all the way that you're touching the wall. Now face towards the big
ball and walk slowly backwards. When the trap springs and the ball
rolls toward you, squat! The ball will safely pass by you because
you were under the corner of the ball! Now turn around. The ball
will be blocking your path, so jump over it on either side. It seems
impossible, but if you keep trying, Lara WILL get over it! Now on
the other side of the ball, run forward through the tunnel while jumping,
because darts(ala Indian Jones) will shoot out from the walls low.
Now you're outside again. You can kill the vulture if you want. Go
right to the pool and dive down and through the underwater tunnel to
the other side. Your in another outside area. Go to the big temple
on your right with the ladder. There's another vulture. Watch out,
kill it if you can. Climb up the ladder. Go forward and drop off
the ledge, Lara wont be hurt. You're in a room with stepping blocks
over a pool of water with pirahna in it, so dont fall in! I took
the path of the blocks on the right side but there probably is another
path too. On the other side, you'll be in a room/tunnel. This is as
far as we got, cause when we walked into the tunnel, we went one way
into a room and the ceiling came down on Lara(ala Indiana Jones)and
she died.

After that, the Eidos guy started packing up because it was the last day
of the con and he had to get the stuff to the airport by 6PM. The guy
did comment that that was the farthest he saw anyone get and that he
would have never thought of the solution we used to get past the rolling
ball trap. All the people we saw tried to outrun it(ala Indiana Jones)
and they all got squashed. Well, all in all, the game had terrific
graphics and looked absolutely great. Have fun!
