Hi, I have tried to find out why but no luck. My Homecrafter Plus for the
past couple of days won't start up...it just says application has crashed,
application will now close. Can't figure out why since did nothing new and
Sims 2 works fine. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but no go.
Any ideas out there? Thanks for any advise.

Are you trying to run it while you have the game running?
I notice that both it and bodyshop, along with the game too, they all use a
lot of memory. Maybe try shutting down some of the background running stuff
first.

No, I don't run any of them at the same time. I shut down everything I
possibly can in the background. This just started happening and, for the
life of me, can't figure it out since it was working fine until a few days
ago. I've been searching the net and was unable to find anything like this.
I have the latest drivers, etc, and it still won't start up. It is very
strange. Thank you and hope you or anyone can come up with something so
won't have to reinstall Sims 2 (already did so with Homecrafter Plus and got
same results).

You may have a corrupt file somewhere
Someone with expertise with Bodyshop might help you how to identify the
right one
I'm afraid I'm a total newbie when it comes to Bodyshop
well...intermediate newbie, but I can only do one thing: Plastic Surgery for
Sims using Body Shop and that's it!

Best thing to do would be to take out all downloaded walls and floors and
put them somewhere safe. Then see if the program works. If it does, then
start readding the walls and floors a bit at a time, testing after each add.
Or if you remember when it started happening, and if you remember
downloading some walls and floors around that time, you might be able to
just get rid of the bad ones.
Have you been able to run your game? Have you checked all the walls and
floors in the game to be sure they are working okay?

Move everything from your downloads folder to somewhere safe and try again.
It might be a clash with some user made item.

I tried taking out the downloads and it still would not start without any in
there, so wound up reinstalling Sims 2 and then everything including the
color enabler, except did not install the last update from Maxis, and then
it worked fine. I installed the update and it stopped working again. So
repeated the uninstall reinstall and left out the last update and it is
working again.

Something doesn't like that last update (first one is fine) on my machine
(others might not have a problem) for some reason and it seems to create a
conflict within the game in my setup, maybe with the downloads. Thank you
all for your help. I appreciate it very much.

Thanks, I tried that and wound up reinstalling it. Read the reply to
Bluegenie2 above. I believe I found the offender. I appreciate all the
help, very much.

Your welcome :)
Glad you figured it out. I have not done any of the updates yet, and may
not now, thanks.
