Sorry for not replying back. I tend to wander in and out of here now.
I had gotten a beta key and have been playing a lot. It's open beta
now, so any old Tribers that check into here can nab the game without
having to worry about keys and whatnot.
My impressions of the game are very positive. They have the esscence
of Tribes sussed. And graphically, it's a very beautiful game with
specular highlighting on metallic bits and whatnots. One thing I do
miss is the sheer size of the maps. While these are okay, they're not
"Tribes massive". I say make them bigger, and include troop
transports. I used to love flying a transport with 4 mortal-lobbing
heavies over the dunes in Rollercoaster.
The name I go by in Tribes: Ascend is: Smeghead.
