Hello everyone:

Is it just me, or does the science vessel pilot sound a lot like
Mr. Burns from The Simpsons? It's especially evident when he says
"excellent", as you right-click on the location to move the vessel. I
hope that Fox doesn't find out about this, since Blizzard may find
another lawsuit on their hands! :-)

It sounds exactly like him! Does Blizzard have a listing of character voice
actors anywhere? I doubt it's the same guy.. but who knows?

I am certain that they WOULD have a lawsuit on their hands. The Fox lawyers
are the biggest bunch oh whiners ever. They shut down EVERY Fox related
site they find, and they even threatened to take a woman to court for making
Simpson icons. Blizzard better watch out...

I hope they did get releases, as:

1) the terran shuttle pilot is from Aliens2
2) the Protoss carrier sure sounds like Worf.

feel free to add to the list.

First, blizzard probably hired the one doing the Burns voice. A voice is
not copyrigthed as
you should know by now. They hired him to make the science vessel voices.

Technically you're right. But the person who does most of the voices for
the simpsons (damnit, i can't remember his name), doesn't actually talk like
Mr. Burns normally. It's just a voice he does for the show. Also, if you
click on the science vessel enough, he says one of Mr. Burns lines (I like
the cut of your jib)

You'd be surprised... when Nancy Cartright (voice of Bart SImpson) went on as
a guest on Loveline (a radio show) a few months back, she had to be very
careful concerning the things she said and how she said them. Seriously,
they gave her HELL ! :-) BTW, I don't think that that is mr. burns.. i
think it's someone trying to sound like him.

Have you noticed that the drop ship also uses lines from the movie Aliens

ED209... "drop your weapon.. you got 20 seconds to comply"speaking of
robocop, have you tried repeated clicking on a Protoss Dragoon ?
And the absolute best is the Observer catching Diablo quotes out of
space ;)

Also, the drop ship voice is from the movie Aliens (I think). She is
the pilot who takes Rippley and the Marines to the terraform colony in
the first part of the movie (In the pipe...).

Correct. A marine named Ferro. She also says "We're in for some chop".
