Even as an American, I still have my money on Germany.

That said, I also assumed Portugal, Korea, and Mexico would blast us out of
the water.

So, what does everyone else think?

This must be the first time ever (since you posted here) that you've made
the 'correct' decision. Germany is going to humiliate USA. :-)

Mexico? Portugal? They're out of the match dude.

I think you're just being silly. Germany won't just win over America,
instead, they'll drag spit and shit on them like they're a 3 year old kid.

Dude, be careful with that Hitler stuff... it may be a long time ago but
many people still haven't forgotten...
(Allthough the majority of this group probably doesn't even know about that
part of history)

"ontopic": I hope USA wins, but just because they need it to 'stimulate'
football in the states :) (and Germany has won enough times as it is over
the past WC's)

Well, it's 1-0 Germany at half time, so it's not looking good for the
USA.

For a long time I thought soccer was a boring game, until I actually
WATCHED it one time and saw how incredibly skilled these guys are.

I just wish the games were at a time when I could watch them :(

And? So what if it hasn't been forgotten, it still happened. There is
nothing to gain by pretending that it never happened. If it hadn't been
stopped then they would have carried on and took over the world.

Same thing. :-)

Although the Americans tend to play like they play in 'American Football'
and if only the referee is not scared of flashing red cards on the American
players, fearing of another nuke attack or something.

But something is definitely not right with those Korean games. It was very
obvious that the decisions made by the referees are biased.

I you talk about the last games, for example Spain/Korea, don't blame Korean
players for that, they play their best and the referees just do what they
want ! Everybody knows that the local team is always the favorite for the
referees, and both team in a game have to play thinking about it.
But Brazil can beat Korea if they meet even in those conditions, coz they
just make the other team mad when they play well, so the red cards will fly
over the places, according the referees give 1 red card to Korean everytime
they deserve 3 ones.

Germany, on the other side, should fail( whatever they try). :-)
