It runs as a server or you obviously don't do much things on it. It usually
crash when you actually try to use multi tasking (running more then one
programs at the same time). It also crash when you try use real programs
that need a good Operating system to run correctly, otherwise it will
crashes. Adobe/Macromedia Products and 3D Products crash a lot on Windows
Operating systems because of Win Blows.

I won't force anyone to join in this thread but it's a fact that I will

You forgot one important thing though. Everytime there is an update for the
PC version for the software, MAC users are the last to have that patch.
Worst of all that piece of metal junk can't run StarCraft. MAC Suck Ass,

Steven, MACs are good if you're doing graphics for a movie and you can't
spend time
worrying about system crashes.
otherwise they suck

Then you should have updated your anti-virus software that is with the
newest patch or should have gotten one that is capable of checking/verifying
EMAILS. The above example is crap and has nothing to do with Windows.

It could have happen the same on MAC OS, except NO *sane* programmer would
want to write a virus to only infect 0.00000000001% population of the PC's
in the world.

The above example can be shown in this scenario. You're driving and bangs
the car infront, but you blame it on your car? Pointless accusations, hence
you're stupid.

of course. The only virus I've ever gotten was when I didn't have a
virus checke (yes, I know, I deserved it...). It didn't even do
anything bad, it just replicated itself a lot and took up a teeeeency
insignificant bit of my bandwidth.

OE is crap. ICQ isn't taxing. There are over a dozen Adobe apps. MS
Office, right? Spedia is the devil. MRP? Doesn't sound like much. It's
fun when you have a dozen IE windows open as well as Flash, Photoshop,
Dreamweaver, Agent, ICQ, Tracer Script(mIRC script), AIM, "Windows"
Messanger, winamp, all my evil hardware software startup things, and
whattever else happens to be running. 512 MB here. Multi-tasking is
great on 2k/xp :)

>Like I said, I haven't shut down Window 2000 Pro since the last 3 months.

eh, only problems I've had with 2k/xp is hardware/software (3rd party)
conflicts. I've never had the puter freeze, but it has restarted for
no apparent reason a couple times (over the 6 months I've been using
it). My friend has a Mac and it OSX has a LOT more problems than any
windows OS I've used since 3.1. Admittedly, I've never used ME, but
I've avoided it like the plague, so what can I say?

As for Linux, I've never had a chance to adequately "experience" it.
It always has had hardware conflicts with my stuff, so I don't know...
I'd imagine it would be even worse with my Kyro II to find drivers
than with my old Voodoo banshee except that the manufacturer is still
alive.

You probably could, except that the software is better optimised for
Macs. Face it Stephie, Macs on rare occasion can be good for *some*
things.

Windows does blow. I am sorry, it just does.

I have a proposal here, maybe this thing will be settled:

Give me THREE GOOD REASONS why Windows is better than the Mac OS. If I, or
anyone supporting the Mac cannot find a way to counter it, then it's a good
reason. If we CAN counter it, then it's not valid and you have to find
something else.

it's fast at doing what it does, which isn't a lot, *yet*. Funny that
it's not stable considering its unix based, must be all that crummy
Mac code ;)

nahh, it doesn't really offer better stability, plus its compatability
is crap and there isn't a lot of software for it.

you don't seem to get it. Windows 2000 *doesn't* crash. Neither does
xp. Either one is at least as stable as the most stable Mac. It
doesn't matter that you run programs that gobble gazillions of memory.
The programs certainly can crash, and they frequently do, but that's
the company that made that program's fault, not the OS. Even when a
program or two, or three, or a thousand crashes, it doesn't bring the
OS down like it did in Windows 1-ME(excluding NT).

I wasn't referring to StarCraft but for the software in general. BTW, the
word 'careless' is used when you make silly mistakes, and 'intending' to
leave out something from their designs doesn't mean that they're careless,
but rather 'leave them suckers out for awhile and let them sleep on it.
Serve them right for getting a piece of junk'.

LOL. If you ever logs on BNet, goto US West, Brood War Mas-1 and shout
"James / Johnrambo IS CHOBO!".

I'm sure that will get some attention and he should play you like the newbie
you are.

Sanity is derived from the word 'sane'.

Opps.. "Sorry, English is not my first Language" !

Because you morno, if that OS is not popular, you won't see many people
using it and that would in turn mean that programmers / companies would not
want to spend millions of dollars on R&D to develop something that would
only be used by a handful of people compared to the billions of the world
population.

So, one might ask who in the hell would like to risk everything and develop
softwares for MAC? I believe you know who, other than those people who
created it. :=)

It's not a company. It was originally written by Linus Torvalds and is now
backed by many, many commercial interests.

X being BSD with a very nice GUI.

Anyone remember OS/2? Microsoft wrote it before they pulled out from
development with IBM and turned what they had into NT. Too bad IBM did
better and let it turn to shit.

Oddly it isn't a hard trait to pick up. Ironically you can't understand
that as a teacher because of the trait itself which you constantly
demonstrate.

Just give it up. It's like trying to argue with one of those die hard
christians that insist that the entire earth was covered by a flood about
4500-5500 years ago.

Two things immediately obvious. I think you warezed XP, and you're using an
ugly desktop theme.

Other things to note: EasyCD is superseded by software included in XP.
ZoneAlarm is highly multiuser-unfriendly. AudioGalaxy is a piece of shit.
ICQ sucks (I use it anyway). You have too many MP3s. Your processor is
funny. Flash and Dreamweaver are for pussies. Agent is a weird looking
newsreader.

Conclusion: You need to be shot and I need to steal your RAM.
