i personally like the terrans. their units are kinda weak, but they get
better. they also can repair damaged buildings and vehicles, they arent
confined to building in certain spots (the zerg have that funky stuff on the
ground, and the protoss have to have lots of pylons to make a base of even
decent size. the music for the terrans sucks though.
the zerg are ok, but theyre units are usually weaker than the other 2. they
are very cheap, however. everybodys favorite rush race, as far as i can
tell. cant heal units/buildings, but they do regenerate themselves. have
to build a fair amount of creeps though.
i dont care much for the protoss. theyre too slow. they dont build their
buildings, so you can have a probe go warp in the building, then have it run
off and warp another building in while the first one is warping. the units
are very expensive, and are usually pretty slow. they are very powerful
though. 5 of their Zealot's will rip apart 8 or 9 terran marines without
any problem. they work well against zerglings too. havent played enough
with them to give specifics on later units.
play around with each of them and youll eventually find one you feel the
most comfortable with.

I'd say that the Terrans are my favorite as well, mainly because of their
defensive cababilities, nukes, and the music. It's refreshing to see music
in a game that is more complicated than your average grunge/rap song. Maybe
Blizzard is trying to let us in on the secret that rap and grunge are the 2
worst genres of music in the history of world by exposing us to some newage
stuff. I'm no big new age fan, but at least it takes talent to play it. I
was better at guitar than Kurt Cobain ever was after I'd played for 3 weeks,
but I digress...

Yea Zerg are really popular on Bnet just because you can mass produce huge
amounts of mutas/hydras quickly and then go try to clean out your opponent's
base. This is why I usually only play with friends. Whenever you try to
play with people you don't know they always just Rush you. Sometimes it's
effective, sometimes it isn't, but either way the game is over in 10
minutes. woowoo.

I really like the protoss. Scouts are very powerful, although very
expensive. Zealots are very good units, but I like to build dragoons more
because of their range. Dragoons are basically just movable psi cannons.
They have roughly the same hp and they do actually more damage. The only
disadvantage is that they aren't detectors, but they can also regenerate
shields at batteries.
I'd still say that my favorite are the Terrans, even though when you play
with them it's tempting to just build up your defenses and go grab something
to eat while you wait for your opponents to attack. :)

Protoss have a superior lockdown it locksdowm mulitple units.

Orcs.
But yeah, both Arbiter spells rock, if you've got the gas. I love to Stasis
all the anti-air, and then go duck hunting.
