yes, NY is relatively easy after many years of looking at it
I find frameworks and bridging to other platforms fundamental before the game, that was what yarmico was, yarmico2 was the game lol

even with no experience, NY is about making relatively simple, amateur games, not AAA, pushing the hardware games.
NY has a learning curve but it also has a very small and simple API, so after learning it, making it should be easy, especially if having previous experience.

But that was due to hardware limitations. Nowadays, game engines take care of that, you can do a AAA with less effort than a NY. And for me the most difficult part is collision detection and some 3D physics, which you dont have here

Im old school, 3D physics should be specific to a game, if its not itll feel the same on every game, ie Unity3D/UE/bullet/havoc
