Sorry to get philosophical, but that was the point of Net Yaroze, it was designed for a small game experience, and not to compete with the pro kit

I could have fleshed out Yamico 1 & 2 and put them up on steam and switch or N64 or GBA or 3DO or Nuon etc etc

and if you need help porting i have worked with switch before (im currently working on a game called: the bunny graveyard for switch, and it already released on pc, granted its using game maker because the main developer doesnt know much about programming and im a contractor that was added a year after development started)

the net yaroze 3d game im working on is going to also be ported to other platforms because its the most abicious solo game i have build and i want it on other platforms (i have decided that it will still contain the net yaroze logo in the game start up) (platforms: psp/psvita/gamecube/dreamcast and possibly ps2)

It was a different time back then and expectations were very high (3D was hot, 2D was not ) and it sounds strange, but TMK, Sony didnt provide much guidance or advice to the noobs apart from tech tuts etc, so it became about who can program the best and not many people knew what to do with the Net Yaroze

one day.... nice game and great artist! Being a contract is cool, but I would suggest, in the long run, finding your own artist to go halves in everything. (I would look for someone that does everything except the technical stuff - ie all art assets and text stuff)

wow! I only put Net Yaroze when I use it, but if I use another framework (32blit or horde3d or my own), I would use that instead.
Thats cool, that you would put the NY logo on all the versions.... interesting. I dont know if thats a good thing for your game or bad like seeing the Unity3D logo I think has a negative connotation (shovelware).

we had a lot of games using CD rom to load assets.... but it was basically the MIDI bank, the rest of assets Sony were... useless

and our problem was that copy protection system did not let us use a CD-R... otherwise... and remember there were people creating loading systems through serial

but I am working on keeping all in memory, just that using CD load function that I created makes my life easier as I dont have to keep track of memory addresses if I change any asset

yes a lot of people expected a pro kit from Sony for a few hundred dollars And they were going to make a AAA all by themselves too.

And theres a point where trying to be too clever with Net Yaroze, to circumvent the limitations (not problems) becomes self defeating, not Net Yaroze IMO anyway

IIRC Code Warrior had that feature, loading files over the serial... amazing! Im guessing thats from the pro dev version that they left it in.

but msy game is a shovelware tho XD jajaja, and i want to keep the Net Yaroze because of the respect that i have gain for it

but im only going to do it with net yaroze games i consider to port over to PC not other consoles, which this one is definitely going to be ported to PC, i even had a few people play it and they liked the 5 test levels
