Apoc is hella right.

He is dead on...

The more I play the game the more I dislike it...... Fucked up priority. IMO
every thing should have priority over any of Dhal's limbs.. And the juggle
system makes it feel (to me) more like MK than SF. And dont eaven get me
started on VC's. I never saw a CC on A2 as phucked up as V-Gouki's.. After a
few games it turnes in to a VC fest and all strategy is thrown out the
window, fist to VC will get lead second will catch up and third will win, am
I missing some thing here? I dont get it..

When I comes to HF ST there is some strategy and game play.. It is down to
the basics. No Vc's Cc's Ac's and with HF no supers. When it is broken down
to the basics again it will thrive again. But if they keep doing this f*cked
up shit like Vc's and Cc's and get back to the basics like GAME PLAY wow
there is a thought.. I only play A3 so I can use Zang Fei and Guy.. if it
wernt for them it would be a SHOTO-FEST when ever my friend comes over.

I dont know about all of you but for me HF and ST are a hella lot more
challeging and more fun to play.. But I would pick A2 over all of them.. Eaven
with CC's but that is only my opinion..


Is it just me or does Apoc sound like he is geting sick of SF?? Please dont
retire untill you come to our tourny in Tucson AZ!!!

I always enjoyed HF better than any of these new games today......
And yes, A2 was superior to all of them in my opinion.......if you don't count
the CCs.

Luckyly for me, my friends & I don't like CC so we still enjoy A2 once in a
while! ^_^

It's like Seth Killian says: the super meter undermines the game
play. The meter was tolerable when it first came into the SF series
in Super Turbo, but after that Capcom got carried away, and since that
time, the worst things about the SF games (parries notwithstanding)
have all been attributable to the super meter.

Can't agree, there. Alpha 3's VC's are heinous, yes, but better
this than 40%-100% CC damage just for standing up, almost half-screen-
ranged alpha counters that do the neighborhood of 15%-20% in damage,
and four characters that basically beat the pulp out of everyone else.

That guy is a great player, and very friendly to boot. It's going
to suck when he retires (as must we all, eventually).

You've never seen Rose's 250% dmg CC? I didn't orginate the combo, but as
one person posted (I forgot, paraphrasing): It's estimated to do somewhere
around 250% dmg, but opponents tend to die around the 100% dmg mark, so the
true extent of the dmg hasn't been made. I had the pleasure of watching it
once.

In terms of abuse, CC's, I argue, were far worse. To pull off the damaging
VC's a lot of skill was needed, see Akuma's. Not only do you need to be dead
on w/those red fb's, but you have to do them fast enough so that you can lay
on the pressure, otherwise, the opponent will escape.

CC's on the other hand were abused, even unintentionally. Everytime I
accidently did one w/Sakura or Zangief, I would try to juggle. W/Zangief, it
was "whoops, I'd better start w/the green hand" and by the time it was over,
I would be in very good position to SPD. And, blowback sucked (to use Tom
Cannon's word). At least w/VC's there's a chance (however small in some
cases) of a simultaneous hit ending the VC, even against Akuma.

I'd rather play A3 any other day than A2.
