Hey all,

I was cruising some Japanese sites for new info. on SFZ3 and they were all
talking about this. I can't take credit for any info. on this page--it
all goes to (tokuyama.ac.jp/home/~msnakamo/index.html) and to "Ura no Ura"
(www2.airnet.ne.jp/~tac/) Remember, my translating skills suck, so sorry
if this doesn't work.

Move the cursor to Karin and wait there for three seconds,(?) then:

For Balrog, go to any of the random select squares, hold START and press
any button.

For Juni or Juli, go to any of the random select squares. There are four
of them in the upper right, left, and lower right, left corners or the
diamond. If you're on the 2P side, you can access the lower-left or
upper-right ones; I assume it's the opposite for 1P.

Then, press in the corresponding direction and press a button while doing
so. For instance, if you were in the upper left corner, you'd press up +
button for Juli, or left + button for Juni. If you were in the lower
right corner, you'd press down + button for Juli, or right + button for
Juni, and so on.

Well, hope it works, have fun, and I'll stop posting unconfirmed info. now :)

I have gotten all 3 codes to work. I'm in Ontario, and the arcade I work in
(Wizard's Castle) has a Final version of SFA3. I read the original post last night,
so I went over and tried them today. They work (YES! :) )

and it's so simple. To confirm the codes:

Go to Karin and wait 3-5 seconds. Then ---

--For balrog: go to a random square and press start+any button at the same time.
--For Juni : go to a random square and press UP+any button if you're on a top
random spot, DOWN+any button if you're on a bottom random spot.
--For Juli : go to a random square and press LEFT+any button if you're on a
left side random spot, RIGHT+any button if you're on a right side random spot.

Your character appears, and Bison's storyline appears to run. On the VS screen you
see Bison's pic with a clear silluette of the fighter you picked.

Ah balrog, how did I ever live without you?? :)

I couldn't get this to work!!! I've wasted tons of quarters already...

Do you have to wait EXCATLY 3 seconds?? Does it matter if you just let it
wait for a few seconds more??

And do you HOLD Start when you're waiting?

DOes it matter WHICH random square you go to or how fast you go to it for
Balrog? Do you have to keep holding down start and any button until Balrog
appears?

I'm sorry if I'm an idiot but I just can't seem to get this simple code to
work...

The codes *WORK*. However it seems that you need to input the
appropriate code fairly quickly once you hit the random select box, or
you'll end up picking up another character.

Hmm... where is that arcade exactly? and does anyone know if A3's anywhere
else in Ontario?

I'm in Montreal, and it seems all the arcades here seem not to ant to get
it...

Hmm, I haven't been able to get any version of this "code" to work.
I am thinking... could it be because Balrog has never even "appeared"
on these machines I'm testing the code on... I mean .. for this code to work,
does someone have to have fought the computer Balrog first? The SFA3
machines here are pretty new, and have been constantly played by people...
so I doubt that anyone has actually even seen Balrog appear yet...

There's a SFA3 in Hamilton, Ontario at Limeridge Mall. Joysticks aren't
the greatest, but at least the game is there (it's .50/??). The coolest
part is, we also got Time Crisis 2 ($1/game) AND Daytona 2 ($2/game).
Don't know how long they'll been there, but it's about time we got some
new games up here.

Does anyone else think Rose's Scarf Move (QCF+K) is useless outside of a
combo? It seems like everytime I tired the move outside of a combo they
would do a cr. jab and stop me cold. Is there anything else that they
weakened on Rose that I should be aware of?

SFA3 is at Lime Ridge Mall in Hamilton, Ontario, although to be honest I'd
like to know where Wizard's Castle is too, cause Lime Ridge's joysticks are
awful.

Bummer...to be honest, I was not expecting Hamilton to get an SFA3 so quickly
so I count myself lucky. Hope one shows up in your area soon.

Yikes! Over here, TC2 is .50, and Daytona 2 is .75 (the Big F***ing Moving
machine ^_^) A3 is supposed to be here "soon", and it should be a quarter
(.25/.25)

We should make tourneys up here. American players would have MUCH more than
their money's worth ^_^

Todd, how about moving the SFECC up here? :)

The secret characters are on a time release, and i've heard its about 3-4
weeks before you can do these codes. Most likely you've done them right a
few times, but the machine hasn't been around long enough. If it doesn't
work, try it again in another week or so.

For the code to work, Balrog, juni, & juli's name must appear on highscore
table first.

uh, how can they appear on the high score table if you can't pick them???????
it's impossible

No it's not. They're reported to be time-released. Wait until they show
up on the rankings screen (how long it takes,I don't know), and then
you'll be able to input the codes for them.

If you take notice of the high scores ranking chart, the characters name
apear in the places were where other have yet to acheive those scores. For
instance, when you turn on the machine in the morning and no one has had the
chance to play yet, the high score screen reads as all the available
characters. Before Balrog, Juni and Juli are available, their names are ommited
and the lowest rank is 25. After they are time released, the lowest rank is
then 28 and their name appear as the lowest ranking players. So no, its not
impossible.

But isn't the CPS2 which runs A3 not usually associate with Time release
characters? I heard from a reliabe source that the characters will be input in
like the one for Marvel Vs. Capcom... and not like a EX2 PSX board. <which is
Time released.>
