Tee was my friend too.......in fact, we grew up together. We were rivals.....
now it'll never be the same. You can't have a Ken without a Ryu.....
Shit. WHY? Because our world's fucked up.
Now we all have to do our little part to change that.

Tee was one of my best friends, and anyone that ever met him should know that
he never, NEVER deserved to die this way, it just doesn't make any sense, he
was friends with anyone he met, it was impossible to dislike him. As for the 3
scumbags who took my friend away from me and the rest of his friends deserve a
fate far worse than death, and if I had it my way they would all suffer
eternally.
If I knew one person that didn't deserve to die, it was him. He will truly be
missed.
Rest in peace Tee
you will be remembered
and cherished by many.
We just gotta remember
that you are still with us.
And although the past cannot
be undone, I hope your death
was not in vein, perhaps
society will learn.........

Oh my god.
I met him at the sjg tournament last year.
Me and him got real cool real quick..we had some good matches..He was one of
the best I've ever played...and he said the same for me...Man this is not
right.
He was such a nice guy.
I can't belive this.
Its too bad my picture of him didnt come out right on film.
Damn man this doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
I was looking really foward to seeing him again, since we clicked so so
fast...and had a subtle rivalry so quick..
This was definitely not his time to go.
Rest in Peace,Tee.

this is just totally unjust . tee was the nicest person that i have
ever met and he didnt deserve this. he was a great player and a great
friend. he was so talented and nice that he would throw matches and
major tourneys jsut to be a nice guy and then he would say "oh that was
a great match" he was truly the greatest of all time. tee you will be
missed and if there is a life after death you are in a much better place
and we will meet again some day. tee im not ashamed to say that i loved
you as a friend and i know that others did too. VEGA forever!!!! in your
honor i will play vega in the next 2 tourneys im in. the east coasts
and the chicago tourney. but it wont be the same w/o you.

I don't know who Tee is, but the lost of any human life must be considered a
detriment to humanity. My sincerest condolences to friends, families and
associates of the deceased. Take solace that he's in God's hands now, and
the people responsible will face judgement either way. If not, you can also
take solace in the fact that the people responsible will just be forgotten
while Tee will remain in your hearts and minds for years to come.

[I may ramble here, so please bear with me.]

The SF community that attends and travels for tournaments has become a very
loose "extended family." We have met up at tournaments and gatherings to
celebrate a common past-time, playing Street Fighter and various other
videogames. While the SF side has been loaded with great games and fantastic
tournaments, there has been many friendships built around this title. While
we like some players and has differences with others, a loss in the community
is something that hurts us all. While it is unfotunate, it is events such as
these that pulls those that you consider friends closer together, and makes
you realize how short this life could possibly be.

I met Tee at the Philly Collection tournament that I ran in December '97. His
Vega clawed and threw its way to the finals against Kris Grytebust. While Tee
did not win that tournament, you could tell that the guy had talent in the
old school fighters. I met up with him again at the ECC3 last year. Even
though his game (ST) wasn't up until Sunday, he played all throughout the
weekend with his Vega on the ST machines in the backroom. He didn't place
high in the ECC3 ST tournament, but then again he had some really tough
matches that would have made it tough for any player to deal with. (Scott
Bradburn and David Dial)

I keep up with most of the tournaments that happen outside of Jersey, and was
quite pleased to find out how well he did at the Chicago tournament last year
alongwith the Gametime tournament for SFA3 that happened a month later.

I was hoping that he would attend ECC4. From the little bit that we talked,
he came off as a very friendly person. Whenever he spoke, you could tell that
he loved the game from the excitement in his voice. Tee was the kind of guy
that we all wished we had in our local area, a great player and willing to
play whenever it was possible.

While it is a relief that they arrested the murderers, it doesn't help since
Tee cannot return. I hope and pray that these scumbags serve a life sentence
with no chance for parole. These are the kinds of people that I wish were
completely shut out from society. I hope these individuals live long, hapless
lives behind bars.

The ECC4 video will be made in the memory of "Tee" Carter. I have a couple of
pics and a brief interview of him from the ECC3, and I will add this material
on the tape so that everyone else can see how great a guy Tee was.

Condolences go out to the Carter family, his relatives, and friends both close
and aquaintances. Tee will be missed.

Tee was at the ECC3? I was there, and there were only 2 other Vega
players I saw besides myself: One was APOC, and the other was a person
who David Boudreau pointed out to me to be an "excellent thrower", and
he was, though I can't recall his name. He was black, had a half-smile
on his face all the time, and abused Vega's wall dive to high heaven
(note: I'm not saying this to insult the guy or anything - I'm
mentioning it as a means of describing him). He also picked nothing but
Vega (that I saw). I played him once in Chinatown in NYC (on A3, where
he also played nothing but Vega and again abused his wall dive- at that
time, he and I were the only Vega players there) later in the summer,
and he seemed like a really cool guy. I *hope* that's not Tee, because
if it is... Omigod. I don't wish to sound callous, but a death actually
has more impact if you know the person or can place a face to it. It's
unfortunate but it's true.

So can anyone confirm whether or not this was Tee for me please?
Thanks...

From what I can gather, and from the description that I've obtained from the
other guys, I think that's him. My apologies. Incidentally, what you've said
is true, death hits hardest when it's someone you know.

I met Tee some two years ago at a SJG tourney in Chicago. We were
friendly immediately because our names sounded somewhat familiar, and
people kept confusing us...though we look nothing alike. Since then we
had stayed good friends, and to anyone who did not know Tee, if you did
know him you would have been friends with him too. It would be hard to
imagine a nicer guy. I mourn your passing, Tee.

im fairly certain that it was tee that you saw not to sure about him
being in ny though but its possible. he does abuse the wall dive and
dave b did stay with me and tee at the ecc3. so a description of tee: he
was about 5'9 about 140lbs he was dark complexted and he had braids
(dreads ) in his hair and he always smiled and i mean always. he only
played vega in st and alpha 3 but he was playing alot of karin in a3 the
last i saw of him.

yup, that was definitely Tee. Sorry man. I should know, since I've spent the
past 10 years with him in Bridgeport CT, and I've seen his Vega firsthand. His
wall dive was a pain in the ass! It was all good though. And as for Chinatown,
he did take occasional trips there with a few of his friends (not me, I'm stuck
here in CT). As for his braids, he ditched them a few months ago and shaved his
head....always wore a hat. He was definitely one cool dude...always smiling,
always friendly. You were like a brother to me Tee, and I'll always miss ya.

Is Tee the one who you were playing on the right machine when I was on
the left with Jeff? I knew him also... I had played him before in
Chinatown and in Playland, broadway arcade.. Really nice guy as I
remember.
Rest in peace Tee.
