I haven't gotten any real chance to play MVC2 at an expert level, and I was
thinking of entering the competition. However I'm worried I'm going to be
entering myself into a Cable cheese tournie.. I tried out that ahvb where you
can keep jumping back up and comboing.. That's not very much fun... I can
expect my Guile-A,Ryu-E,Strider-V team to get fairly messed up... But if I'm
lucky enough to fight agianst someone not abusing a beam character I may have a
chance.. I dunno I guess I'll get some good alpha 2 competition anyhow.. I'll
enjoy that more then getting a AHVB enima...

If you're afraid of Cable beam cheese, then DON'T go to CTF. I can tell you
right now, it will be a total waste of your time using your Guile/Ryu/Strider
team. You must be used to fighting straight-up, while the rest of the country
is busy with Cable AHVBs and Strider/Doom traps.....not to mention Doom/BH,
Sentinel/BH, jump back fierce with Doom, etc. I'm just warning you, you'll be
disappointed.
Behold the true power of the Darksyde...

I guarantee you, you'll see enough Cable to make you sick.

Yep...

You're not likely to see many of those. This is MVC2 after all.

The top two players on the east coast will be up there playing A2.

When is this? You going Choc? Who are you calling the top two A2 ppl
where there hasn't been a tournie in like 2 years?

At the time I wrote that, I wasn't planning on going... I am reconsidering it
though.

There have been a couple of tournaments. The top two are Kris and Omar from Norfolk
VA. As far as I know, I'm #3. I could be wrong though (about myself).

There were two big ones in the last 2 years on the east coast. Both were ECC
events. Omar Deloney and Kris Grytebust are the top two A2 players on the east
coast. Eddie Lee has also proven himself to be among the best on the east coast.
Chocobo and myself are also up there. With the possible exception of myself, all of
these players will be at the CTF MvC2 tournament. If you're looking for serious A2
competition, I suggest stopping by. And even if you aren't, high-level A2 play is
probably the most exciting to watch of all the SF games. But that's just my
opinion.

I'll have to look into this further. Is A2 on Sat or Sun? I might be
able to sneak out Sun.

A2 is in there every day. It looks like Kris or Omar won't be there now, so I'll
have to be the one beating everybody...
