Hey Onaje i was just wondering. How much time do u spend on this newsgroup???
U post like freakin essays. Goddamn, do you even have a job or go to school?
I mean i read this newsgroup when i have time and when i come to your posts i
say to myself "goddamn not this guy again". and your post is always bragging
about yourself. About how *YOU* made up a combo, or how *YOU* created some
bullshit hurricane kick trap. Or how *YOU* would know from experience cuz
you've probably spend most of your life on this newsgroup or playing video
games. Do you ever plan on getting married? You sound like a very arrogant
person to me. The type of person that would bore the crap out of people by
simply talking about yourself all day.
<ONAJE APPROACHING SOME GIRLS>
Hey ladies guess what? I’m a 40 year old virgin that doesn’t have a job, I
live with my parents and if i do all my chores early my dad might let me borrow
his Yugo. So what do u say? if you all chip in for gas we can head over to
the arcade and i will show you the combos *I* made up all by myself. Since my
parents aren’t gonna be home we can go buck wild and play with my star wars
toys or play Magic the Gathering. And if u ladies are really lucky I might
show you my Pog collection.
If your so damn good how come you're never ranked and never win any
tournaments. Except for the ones you hold at your house against your little
sister or something. At least Alex can make a living off of playing video
games. That’s more than i can say for you. So debate this with me if you
want. I'm just curious.

Um Onaje, just so you know, that was NOT me under a different screename! I
would never insult someone like that (I learned my lesson a month ago when i
did it to Valle and knew nothing about him).

First of all, if you have a question like this, send it in private email. The rest
of the people on the newsgroup don't need to read this junk.

This group is for fans of SF games... you're not going to get anywhere with "well
at least I have a life outside of SF", that's the typical "I'm wrong and I don't
care" excuse. I don't read every post and I don't know anything about Onaje, I just
thought I'd tell you that much. If his posts are actually annoying you, then just
don't read them.

Though you've only posted a few times, you've demonstrated a lack of knowledge to
some extent (saying 2 on 1s in MVC are weak for example). This newsgroup is about
SF, and not people's personal lives. Whatever his personal situation is, he does at
least contribute something (probably, anyway) to the newsgroup while you've
contributed nothing but misinformation and insults.

First off....I don't like how you started that last question...and if you look
at my signature, you can guess why. But, anyways....

(As if it were your business)

Currently I'm attending a community college at which I will be getting my
A.S. in Computer Science by the end of the summer. I'm also currently
employed at a telemarketing firm whose work load is so low that they
cancelled the only shift I can work. Thus, I'm looking for work and have
signed on to three temp agencies. I'm only taking two classes, so maybe
that's why I can afford to check this newgroup so many times. However, since
I read fast and type fairly well, it usually ends up being 30-60 minutes per
time that I check. Otherwise, I'm very active at my church and always
hanging out with my friends from church...with the occasional outing to the
arcade with my fellow San Diego players (SD in the hizzouse for the nine
nine, baybee!!!!).

So, to bottom line it, YES, I have a life. Life abundant, in fact. I got
plenty of witnesses, too.

HAHA!! YES! I get to use a psych term on you! And I was just reminded of it
last night, when I was out with my friends...one of them being a psych grad.

You...are...projecting. That is, what you're saying is that if you were
posting all of the stuff that I was posting, you'd do so to brag. Guess
what? I'm not you. I post facts because I deal with the truth on a day-in
day-out basis. Nothing more. I'm not trying to brag at all....it just looks
that way. Don't worry because you're not the first to make that mistake.
Ask anybody that knows me: I'm a humble guy, but I'm also to the point.

> Do you ever plan on getting married?

When God sends me the woman, I'm there. Until then, I know that I'M not
ready. I don't have anything to offer yet, anyway. You have no idea of just
how much sensitivity and sweetness I plan to lay on my future wife. You just
don't know. :) (Whoo....getting goosebumps!) Still, I'm a patient guy.

> You sound like a very arrogant
> person to me. The type of person that would bore the crap out of people by
> simply talking about yourself all day.

Well.....you know what they say about assumptions, right? Again, ask someone
that knows me in person. Again, look at the part about "projection".

> <ONAJE APPROACHING SOME GIRLS>
> Hey ladies guess what? I’m a 40 year old virgin that doesn’t have a job, I

I think that may have been me when I was....eight. ;)

And, by the way, that's 24 year-old virgin...by choice. I plan to make sure
that when I get married, there's only one woman on my mind...and that's my
wife. That makes sense, doesn't it.

Besides, I don't need to approach anybody. In fact, if I did that, I'd only
set myself for a doomed relationship. Ooh...don't get me started on dating.
There's way more to it than you think.

> If your so damn good how come you're never ranked and never win any
> tournaments.

Did I ever say I was good? When did I say that? This is funny.

> Except for the ones you hold at your house against your little
> sister or something.

I have a brother...and he's 20...and he'd be as good as me if he took my
advice instead of settiling for his mediocrity.

Still, you've heard of Bob Painter and Milo Cooper, right? They can vouch
for my skills. Mark Zedaker, as well. I'm not great, like they are, but if
you let me hit you and I'm aware of that hit, I'll combo the snot out of you.
Combos are my specialty. I live for them when it comes to fighting games.
The proof is in my posts. Again, I don't say that to brag on myself. I say
that because I know my strengths and my weaknesses. If you know your
strengths and weaknesses, you get better that much faster.

> At least Alex can make a living off of playing video
> games. That’s more than i can say for you.

True that. Alex Valle is a truly great player, and he's a cool guy, too.
You know, you need to go to #capcom and catch me on there....or even ask them
about me. I don't think that I'm above anyone, in the sense that everybody
else is a peon in my sight. Not even close. However, the simple fact of the
matter is that I know that I'm better than at least one person in any given
Street Fighter game. At least one. That's simply because God gave us all
different abilities.

> So debate this with me if you want. I'm just curious.

It's not a debate, though...it's you simply assuming things about me based on
the (probably) few posts you've read of me. Tell me, just how long have you
been reading this group? If it's only been for a short time, you should go
to DejaNews and actually check me out. I'm not arrogant, I'm just confident.
Why? I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. See, it's not
me that makes me what I am, it's God that makes me all that I am and all that
I'm going to be.

It would become a debate if you start debating the facts that I just gave
about myself. However, it'd be a debate that you'd have to debate by
yourself. If you don't believe me, you have no reason to respond. I
wouldn't waste my time with this if I didn't know that the facts prove you
wrong, though.

The truth always prevails...'cause it's not defined by you. It defines
itself.

Peace. (I shoulda warned you that I can be very philosophical at times.)

So if a person has an interest, that means he HAS to do it to the exclusion
of everything else?

I guess that means that pro basketball players have no life outside of
basketball.
Pro race car drivers have no life outside of Nascar.
Grand master chess players must do nothing but play chess all day.

Is this what you are saying? If so, why don't you write Tyson, who
has spent his life boxing, someone so he can come and bust your ass?
Oh wait..he probably has had more women in the last 5 years than you
will see in the remainder of your narrow life..he doesn't have time
for you. Besides, he's gonna be busy spending the 27 million or so he
made from his last fight.

There's a guy who lives and breathes his sport. He knows it inside
and out...been doing it for years. And yet he's richer than you,
more famous than you, knows more people than you. For all of your
"i have a job and a life" proclamations it seems that someone with a
life interest has beat you out!

Get my point? BEING INTO SOMETHING HAS NO BEARING ON THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

And I have to wonder. What kind of great job and life has time for getting
on the internet to insult people like a pussy? HMM...

What is an A.S.? Never heard of it before. Anyway, Onaje I don't think you
should have bothered responding to this crap. It's the typical "well, I must
be getting more pussy than you" bullshit that we see from time to time. Which
is worse, the guy who posts interesting stuff on a primary hobby of his, or
the guy who wastes his time uselessly flaming someone he's never met and
couldn't care less about?

He's not responding to the guys post as much as he is affirming

You have pogs when you were eight? ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! HECK! I ** hate **
that. We didn't get pogs till a couple of years ago. We do things take so
friggin' long to get here. Mind you.... there is an advantage to that
though, since it take so long to get here that even major tsunamis that wipe
major islands would only be roughly one centimeter tall by the time it gets
here. So as an ad for this country, if you're worried about the Apocalypse,
just move here, you'll yourself some time to save your Soul. :')

Careful when you mention philosophy on this NG mind you, things can get a
tad religious at times (no offence Onaje).

Though I usually wouldn't respond to the response of another person's message
without actually reading it, I wouldn't say that James did a bad thing in
saying what he said. It's his opinion...and that's fine. You have your
opinion and that's fine, too.

However, when you have the truth on your side, you can pretty much do what you
want...as long as it lines up with the truth.

In essence, I responded because I wanted to....and so what if I end up
humiliating myself in front of the whole newsgroup. Heck, I do it in person
enough to be used to it. :)

You'er talking to a guy that decided to wear a Jheri Curl IN THE '90's!!!!
Hello!!! If I can take wearing THAT hairstyle for 5 years when it was 5 years
OUT OF STYLE....I can take a silly thing like this. :)

Embarassment is merely a chance to for me to laugh at my goofy self. So what
if others join in. :)

I know...but I figured, why not clear the air in such a way that he couldn't
possibly counter without making himself look stupid?

I knew I had a leg to stand on...whether he cared or not. Now, the ball's in
his court. Let's see if he has the guts to return it. If he's smart, he'll
apologize or never post again.

P.S. I respect your opinion fully. I did consider that option, but I went a
