other postings. People keep saying that Boston was lucky or like the
other people were playing lousy or other crap. Oh finally we win a
tournament that no one thought we would win so that makes it luck. Yea
right. We just did played better than the others. I am not putting down
the top players eddie, arturo either. Just by watching them play u
know they are good.
Just cuz we came out of no where u scrubby people all think we
suck. Well that is all bullshit. We were never at tournaments cuz
there are NONE near us. This CTF one was the closest ever so we
decided to go. And on top of that AK one of us had already won a
tournament b4 going to this one. He already proved his skills. And i
think the rest of boston did too by taking 6 out of the top 10 spots.
hmmm yea lucky....ohhhh no maybe it wasnt luck it was just that the
other 50 players in the tournament played like shit right? yea suuuure
thats gotta be it. How are you people gonna say that oh they won cuz
eddie and arturo played bad? You shit talking scrubs out there couldnt
beat us urselves? On irc and posts people keep going on and on how
they are best in the EC (ct and nj and virgina) and then when the
tourney comes up they fall short. B4 the tournament i see a big group
of people yelling and screamin about CT blah blah. Yea u guys were so
good you were ALL eliminate by like 4:00. hahah fukin horrible. What
it comes down to is that U peopel say eddie and arturo played bad and
that we still suck. Y couldnt anyone else take us down then?
And after all u scrubs talking shit, arturo came up to us and said
we were some of the best he had seen in the country. And invited us to
go to the nationals with him and nyc to represent EC. Did that happen
to any others? uh no i dont think so. I am sure that there are some
people that can back up what they say but for the others dont come into
a tourney talking shit and then get fuked up BAD.Like one kid was
talking soooooo much shit b4 the tourney online and then FIRST round
the kid was sent to the losers bracket by AK from boston.
Bottom line: People who say we suck....well we dont. U do cuz u
would have beaten us if u were better. To the other top players good
jab and it was fun playin u guys we will be back sometime to play u
again.

that top players like Justin and Eddie weren't playing as good as they should
have...you can't deny that. But that doesn't mean that you guys wouldn't have
won anyway....you guys definitely have skills that nobody was expecting, and we
respect you for that. I don't know why you think everybody is against you and
insulting you....cuz as far as I know, nobody is. Seiya was banned from IRC
because he kept complaining that people were insulting Boston....when really
nobody was, and finally we just got sick of him complaining, so he got banned.
And wtf, you say CT was cheering and everything and then got eliminated....no
kidding. I was saying in IRC for months that CT sucks, because we hardly even
play the game...usually like once or twice a week we run into each other at the
arcade and have good matches. And I NEVER talked shit saying I was the best on
the EC...I DID say that I was the best in CT, which is the truth since I got a
lot farther at CTF that any other CT player, beating Josh W. and having a close
match with Eddie. I know this isn't much, but it's something.
So...in conclusion, STOP WHINING. CTF is over, you guys won, yay. We understand
that you have skills and you're good...but we've been hearing about this for a
week now and we're kind of getting sick of it. Nobody is insulting you, nobody
is clowning you or saying that you got "lucky..." If you ask me, you guys are a
little paranoid yourselves that maybe it was just luck, and that's why you
think everybody is saying that. Well let me outright say it: IT WASN'T LUCK, IT
WAS SKILL. You happy now? Geez. If there is ever a Boston tourney (which Seiya
said there might be on IRC right before he got banned, heh), post about it here
so that we can go and see the true power of Boston on their home turf. I still
want my match with Seiya....

No one in VA ever claimed to be the best. I think you're imagining things.
All I've seen is the Boston group going on IRC and e-n-d-l-e-s-s-l-y
bragging about the win, and finally some people said to quit yapping about
it and get back to reality, it's only one win, and it's not like you beat
CA and Japan and whatever.
No one (with a brain) thinks Boston players got lucky or NY had a bad day
or whatever... at this point, Boston players are definitely the best on
the east coast at MVC2. Now let's see how you all do in future tournaments
(and future games).

in beantown he is good, but don't reference that scrub tournament
in philly.

don't listen to retarded seiya, i wasn't talking shit on AK at all..
seiya is dumb, he talks shit on everyone else, then when they
respond in kind, he says "why do you talk shit man?" as if i'm
supposed to just sit there and take his shit. My grievance
against AK was done months ago when he first went up to
Boston and Seiya confirmed that he did indeed suck a big
one at the time. (They even had a little flame war on here).
3 or 4 weeks later, Seiya came on irc and told me that AK was
getting pretty good. And I believe him, of course. So, I had
no reason to talk shit on AK... Seiya crushed him for me, then
he got good... I'd like it better no other way. The AK I flamed on
dasrik's board months ago is a completely different story from
the AK now. You can see that from his posts on this newsgroup.
the match against AK could have gone either way, I know it and
I know he knows it. Because that is what this game is like.
Shall I explain? His Dr.Doom ate a cable chain combo in the
corner, but the psimitar that I use to get airborne hit him...
so no supers. (I have since learned to simply superjump
cancel the roundhouse to prevent this). Now suppose I had
been just a pixel farther away. Chain lands, psimitar whiffs,
2 AHVB's land, doom dies...game set match Cable.
Instead, Doom gets away with murder and then comes back
to win. Now I'm not saying that AK isn't better than me,
obviously he is. He did outplay me in general and I did make
crucial mistakes such as using an unreliable combo. But for
you to come on here and act like he crushed me when in
reality a fluke saved the match, is ridiculous and stupid. If I
had won due to that combo, would be I on this newsgroup acting
childish like you saying "OH YEA some guy talked shit and then
I peaced him out!" Hell no.
But no. You win one lousy tournament and suddenly you
are the greatest and no one can touch you. A word of
advice. DON'T EVER LOSE A TOURNAMENT NOW. Because
if you do, we will forever know that you are full of shit and
this win was just a fluke. If you had kept quiet like you
suggest everyone else does it would have been cool, but
now YOU BETTER NOT FAIL TO WIN. If Boston doesn't get
1st place at Nationals in Chicago, I will repost your message
here as a reminder to all about what happens when egos
get bloated...

As far as this "getting educated in beantown" thing is concerned, I think
this has gone too far. First of all, nobody in Boston used
Sentinel/Jugg/BH. Or Sentinel for that matter. I don't think anyone
could say I sucked at Boston when I first came considering Sentinel
wasn't out at the time (at the arcades there). I was heavily
anticipating him coming out. And if you're going to say 1
character doesn't make a difference, take away Cable from the top players'
teams in the country and see what you're left with...
We definitely helped each other out. I added in as much as I got out, so
there's no argument that I was the only one benefiting from playing there.
The game was still in its infancy (only out for a month and a half by the
end of May), so to point at my old team as being scrubby is half-sighted.
I won't comment on the match, there really isn't much point in it. I
don't have it videotaped and nobody really cares about it. Good match at
anyrate... I will probably see you at nationals.

No Duc, no Valle, no Viscant, no image, no Choi. This isn't nationals, this is
CTF2. I know Eddie will get mad and get better though, so it'll still be a
tough fight for Boston.

misinformed about a certain seiya. I have never been on irc b4 the ctf
tourney. And I was told that people were saying BOSTON sucks etc
etc...But now it seems it wasnt about boston. It was about seiya. The
only reason I posted was cuz I was told it was against boston and my
borther is the one that won the tourney. I dont want peoplel talking
shit like he was lucky jjust cuz no one knew him b4 the tourney. My
appologies to the ones who talked shit about others not BOSTON as a
whole. BUt to the others that think we suck we did better than you and
we will be ready for chicago.

Viscant: Likely that if the majority of good players in WC aren't going,
Boston isn't going. We'll probably just attend the next CTF tourney for
the same effect.
