U so called SF Masters have tons of issues that ya need to get checked. SF3:2I
is one of the Best SF games in the world. You PPL are Still stuck on SFA2 or
SFA3 they are good and all that I play them both.

but..........

SF3:2I is alot better This game makes you think.
It makes you stop and think should I dash at them and then do the universal
overhead or should I do this or this.. ya know what I mean.[I think.] In A3 oh
let me rush them and break there guard meter and then do a Super WOW. Yeah it
takes alot skill to do that. Karin she puts you in the corner and then breaks
your meter than she starts QCF+P,F+K knocks them in the air. F,D,DF+K, then the
Super(Juggles) them and keeps on juggling, and if the Person is stupid enough
to do 2P air escape that is would be the stupidest thing U can do coz then they
start the juggle all over again, that is TOTAL BULL SHIT. That Part of the GAME
SUCKS.

In 2I you have to know more than a cheap Juggle You have to parry the Attack at
the right moment and then unleash a combo that will work at that situation. U
have to have good defense to Parry at the right moment. And then good enough
Skill to put your enemy away. And since you PPL can't do that ya think Parrys
suck. If U don't like em don't Use em' DUHHHHHH!

I've also witnessed this guy he was a Parry Master and NICE with Yun. And then
this guy came in he did'nt Parry not once and he beat the Shit out of him.
Using SEAN the man. Well don't flame me. I am telling all ya how I feel Wether
U like it or not. I don't give a FUCK. This is not scrub talk or nothing take
it how ever U want coz I still don't give a fuck!

Sorry, I have to flame you. You're a total idiot. You haven't read
anything we've said. We hate parries because we're GOOD at them, not 'cause
we don't know how to use them. And your Yun, Sean game. That's total
bullshit. If this guy using Yun was a Parry Master, then he'd have gotten a
perfect. As in NO DAMAGE WHAT SO EVER! You don't know jack about what
you're talking about. Parry Master means that a guy can parry anything and
everything. Parries are easy you dumb fuck. Too easy. That's our problem
with it. LazyJae, you ARE lazy. You obviously haven't read our hundreds of
posts complaining about parries. You just read the subject and assumed
where lame ass scrubs like you who don't know how to parry for jack! Stop
posting shit like this you ass hole! And learn how to spell. It's Parries.
IDIOT. Juggling in A3 takes much more timing and skill than parrying.

Really? I wonder why not. Karin with a full meter and an opponent in the corner

Great. Just when I thought the East Coast had sufficiently rebuilt it's
reputation to a decent skill level, along comes this guy to fuck it up
for everybody. Thanks a lot you ignorant punk.

Note: This guy does NOT reflect the average attitude of the East Coast
player (regardless of whether any EC player agrees with him or not; most
of us have more class than this).

Yeah, and that's the kicker. People would know this if they played as her or
played against someone good. Where are all the Karin players at? =)

1) That's not a long post. Really.
2) Read up on stuff. You may have your opinions, but get the facts
straight: there is very little balance in the game (Ibuki and Yun
alone win almost outright if played correctly) and Parrying can be
abbused way too much. The only thing that I don't agree about is when
people knock the graphics. I like that part, actually, animation-wise
(it gets far to pixelated when the screen zooms in, though...)
3) You are not a happy person.

Stop right there.

First off....have you actually seen two GOOD players play SF at all?
Seriously. Yes, I seriously want an answer to that question.

Let me explain something to you. Anyone that is of any skill level in SF
knows how to keep someone off of them. ANYONE that can play somewhat. If
YOU are having problems in counter-poking someone, that's on YOU. If you
don't know how to throw a projectile in such a manner that the attacker has
to block it and then basically give away their next move, that's on YOU. If
you haven't figured out that often times a counter hit fierce or roundhouse
most often happens when you catch someone walking towards you trying to "rush
you" and that you can tack on extra damage because of that, thus discouraging
them from trying to break your guard, THAT...IS...ON...YOU.

Oh no, don't misinterpret me. I'm not upset at you. I'm not frustrated with
you, though I'm close. However, for you to say that breaking someone's guard
takes no skill is outright nonsense. Try it against me...you'll eat pokes and
DP-like moves all day. You'll definitely eat a SC in the process.

Do yourself a favor and get a tape of a tournament or just GO to one. You
have a LOT to learn about SF in general...and you keep showing it with every
post.

Bruh...do you know what TIMING is? You're invincible in the first few frames
of your flip-out animation. IIRC, you're TOTALLY invincible while falling if
you choose to roll instead. KNOW the game before you try to trash it.

Besides, any player that thinks while they play knows better than to try and
flip out of any Karin juggle. You only give them more time to bust out her
anti-air SC on you. Again, know the game before you try to bash it.

Yep....

It doesn't take much skill to sit there and wait for your opponent to be
foolish enough to attack. You're not taking a risk. No risk involved,
therefore no skill involved. Does that make sense?

> And since you PPL can't do that ya think Parrys
> suck. If U don't like em don't Use em' DUHHHHHH!

You know what I'm doing right now? Do you? I hate to tell you this...but I
am laughing out loud at this. You're a great comedian. We sit here and TELL
you of how we have ALL abused option select to no end and we sit here and
relate tournament experience after tournament experience....and you STILL
don't get it.

What are we doing wrong? Tell us! We're using plain English and logic.
We're doing the best we can. What aren't we spelling out to you, already?

> I've also witnessed this guy he was a Parry Master and NICE with Yun. And then
> this guy came in he did'nt Parry not once and he beat the Shit out of him.
> Using SEAN the man.

Wow...you mean that someone depended so much on their defensive skills that
when they got overwhelmed by offense that they couldn't do anything?
Wow....never seen THAT before! Hyuck hyuck! (Yes, that was sarcasm.)

C'mon, bruh. Isn't it obvious? The Yun player obviously didn't know jack
about his character's great offensive capability outside of what to do after
he parries a move. It's not brain surgery. His parrying ability was
neutralized and he didn't know what to do. Sean can take people like that.
Sean is an offensive machine. He also plays tons of mind games from his Sean
Tackle and his roll (which Ken probably taught him...why doesn't Ken have
one, too?!).

Like I said....know the game.

Better yet, I'll say it like this: Come correct, or don't come at all.

> Well don't flame me. I am telling all ya how I feel Wether
> U like it or not. I don't give a FUCK. This is not scrub talk or nothing take
> it how ever U want coz I still don't give a fuck!

Then do us a favor....don't post. As long as you post incomplete, invalid,
and inaccurate assessments...I, for one, will jump all over them and expose
them to the light of fact. Nothing escapes fact. Nothing.

Or...as I used to say....nothing escapes my mace of truth. BAM! BAMBAMBAM!!
:)

In all seriousness and humility, though, you need to check YO'self, before
you wreck yo'self. You expect us to accept half-baked statements as fact?
Ha! Not when we know better and have the experience and facts to back it up.
Dare I say it again: The tournaments have been done over and over and over
ALL over the country. The results are still the same. Parry....super.
Parry...chain-super cancel-super. Ryu vs. Elena....Ryu stand forward beats
everything Elena has. The list goes on.

So, tell me.....can you refute ANY of this with fact? No...I said refute
it...not go on another of your blind rants about how we're attacking a game
that we can't play.

I DARE you to quote my message and then respond point by point in a civilized
manner. I seriously double dog dare you to do so. You know, this choice is
actually something similar to a parry: I'm taking no risk whatsoever because
I know what I'm saying has been proven time and time again. You, however,
will have a lot to lose if you attack wrong.

I know what you're thinking. Did he shoot five times or six? Did he use all
of his bullets (that is, all of the information that I have that proves how
wack parries are) or is he pointing his last bullet at me? Well, I kinda
lost track in the excitement, too....but I know one thing: I'm coming out of
this intact.

So, I ask you: Do you feel....lucky? (If you do, I have bad news for you.
There's no such thing as luck.)

Just one prob here. If you've been cornered by a good Karin and launched ...
well, there's not much you can do =).

Yes, the flip makes you invincible (for a *very* brief second). However, the
Karin player has the advantage because she can just wait to see if you do
anything. Flinch and flip, you're going to eat something ...

You can't roll out of it in the corner either, you'll still get juggled.
Outside of the corner though, than a roll can help you escape.

Launched in the corner with a A-Karin with full meter ... one way or
another, you *will* eat that super. Unless you either VC through it (the
best way to avoid it I think) or guess right and use that tiny, tiny window
of invincibility the flip gives you ...

Hmmm ... however, if it's V-ISM Karin with full meter and she manages to
launch you in the corner, than its an even *worse* story. 75% juggle, ouch.

Exactly =). Or if it's V-ISM, she flashes and makes you land on 14
Palmstrikes =).

A2 was good, except for the CCs... that was too overpowering (need I remind you of
Chun's 40 hit CC...) A3 is good, except for the V-ism nonsense... I can mash
buttons with V-Ryu, and do around 50+% damage... And a few other things (a certain

Well, let me think about this... (grammar corrected) "Let me rush them and break
their guard meter and then do a Super. WOW" Now, I've got a question. How exactly
do you just 'rush and break their guard meter'? Last I checked, most guard meters
were pretty big, and you can't just walk forward and hope to break it by jabbing
them to death... at least not with Karin (Rolento maybe...) I would be inclined to
agree with you if it was that easy to break a guard meter, but I dare you to
attempt something like that with Karin on my X-gief... I will laugh as you try,
c.jab you a few times and then SPD your sorry behind so hard that you'll have to
pull down your pants to take a look around...

> In 2I you have to know more than a cheap Juggle You have to parry the Attack at

So you're saying that, instead of going through a complicated string of attacks to
actually break someone's guard meter, you have to press towards or down at the
right time and then chain into super? Oh, that sounds *much* harder...

> have to have good defense to Parry at the right moment. And then good enough

Ano... that's like saying "I have a gun, and you have a gun, but I don't like mine,
so I will try to punch you to death while you point your gun at me". The combos in
SF3 are *so* freaking eassy that even *I* (I'm a total scrub, I just like playing
SF because of my cousins when I was little) can pull off with ease (Krazy Ken comes
to mind... thanks Onaje, I was wondering what that trick was called! ^^)...

Ok, let me get this straight... if this guy is a Parry Master, how come he got hit?
The way the game is set up, it is possible to parry every single thing thrown at
you, including supers. So how did he lose? Maybe he wasn't such a Parry Master
after all...

> U like it or not. I don't give a FUCK. This is not scrub talk or nothing take
> it how ever U want coz I still don't give a fuck!

Alright, I'm going to start ranting here... You've been warned. ^^

Sir, I have to ask you something. If you don't give a <expletive deleted>, why are
you still posting here? Are you trying to convince us of the error of our ways?
Could this many people, who have posted countless tidbits of data and information
(correct, I might add... And a big HI THERE to Mike Z (I think it was Mike Z),
who's Chun MSF combos I tried and loved, especially that 6-jump combo, although it
took me forever to get it down) all be wrong? I hardly think so...

This leads me to conclude a few things.

1. You aren't reading our posts. I admit, I am not as big a poster as some of the
more esteemed regulars here, but I try. And I read! Perhaps you think otherwise,
but that's no reason to completely disregard their information. SF3:2I is a pain in
the rear, because parries make it too defensive. I'd much rather they have stuck in
Alpha Counters that do almost no damage, and take off 1/3 of a super meter than
those God-Awful parries. Do you honestly think that the fact that someone can parry
every single attack thrown at him (or in my case, her), and then retaliate (since
the person being parried is still in stun animation) with a 50% combo-into-dizzy
doesn't make this game unbalanced in any respects whatsoever?

2. You seem to enjoy using profanity as evidence when you are trying to make a
point. Here's a little hint, Junior.. Profanity doesn't work. It just makes you
look silly, since you don't know what you're talking about.

3. You refute your own point. You complain that a guard crush is too easy in A3,
and that you can get rocked easily by someone GCing-into-super. Then you turn
around and say that there's so much skill involved in parrying, then comboing.
Somehow, I think that a series of well-thought-out attacks in order to GC somebody
requires much more skill than tapping towards or down at the right time? Maybe I'm
wrong, I *am* just a girl after all.

4. You keep saying you don't care, but then you keep posting. Are you on some sort
of evangelical journey, trying to show us the error of our ways by calling us names
and making lame attempts at convincing? I'm sure that will work very well...

Alright, it's about over...

I've noticed a few things... here they are, in order of appearance.

1. You make these lame claims, and assume that it is all true since in your local
area, nobody can parry that well, and therefore, parries aren't that
powerful/unbalancing.

2. People refute your claims with evidence, citing many examples of how it is
possible to abuse the parry.

3. You return to your own local world of people who can't parry, and see it happen
again, and so you conclude we must be wrong. Wow, someone was on a 26-game win
streak. Let me think... here's an idea. What if his competition just happens to
suck worse than him? I remember when I was just starting XSF, and I happened to
know how to do Air Combos from MSH. I racked up huge win streaks, since I knew how
to do them and all the local competition didn't. Does that make me an XSF Master?

4. In addition to your little observations in your little locale, you call A3
scrubby by making a totally ridiculous claim.

5. You say you're not a scrub, but most of the evidence here seems to indicate
otherwise...

Well, if you've read this far, I must congratulate you. You have shown yourself to
be of at least the 3rd grade reading level (something I was not sure you were at
before).

I'm guessing most of the large words and such I have written are probably confusing
to you, so let me spell it out for you.

Einstein said it best when he said "There are only two known infinites in
existence, and they are the Universe and Stupidity. And we're not so sure about the
Universe". Thank you for giving us a shining example of the latter of the two.

Sorry about repeating myself, but, for the most part, most low-intellect animals

Look U, U think U can play the damn game. But U can't beat me regardless what U
wanna belive I can go to NE Arcade and play A3 and go on a 30+ Game win streak.
But In 2I I get some competition. So if U wanna belive I am a scrub go on with
that. It takes a good player to come on the internet and talk shit. 75% of the
PPL in that dumb ass NG are scrubs. So whatever U want to belive go on and
belive it. Why do I keep posting? Becoz it is a free world. I can do whatever I
feel like doing. I am defending 2I. As for me not being able to parry that is a
negative. I can parry I am juz not a parry master. And when I become one I will
still like the game. And WHAT!!!!!!

I've been playing a lot of Karins lately, and they all seem to try to
rush-punch (for lack of the real name) me in the corner. Can't you poke
c.forward or dp (they always seem to play me when I'm playing a shotokan)
anything she attacks? These karin players seem super-predictable. It seems
that the only time I get juggles is when I jump in or I guess wrong and I eat
that jumping-slap move.

You got jack-shit. Any parry-master Y/Y can kill Sean. It's Yun's fault for
not counter-attacking. Did you know that you can combo off a parry then
combo into a SC? That's what Yun should've been doing. Either that, or he's
not the parry master you claim he is.

Why don't you take your scrub ass to one of these tournaments and bring your
game w/you? You'll see what high level play at 2i can be like. Stop being
an arcade/mall rat, punk-ass and learn to post. But, I guess you would have

No, all it takes is some troll-moron to sit behind a computer screen and talk
all he wants. It's a lot easier when you're not face-to-face w/someone. You
want people to believe that you're not a scrub, go to the NJ Tourney, so that

Yes, b/c you know exactly how we play, right? Since we all seem to have some

I don't know much about Karin but I know enough that flipping out of any
juggle in A3 is fairly suicidal. This applies to anyone with a decent
anti-air SC (Z, Rose, Guy, etc.). Chances are, you might be better off just
taking the hits, pray you have enough life left and work your way back.

Well they must be pretty dumb Karin players =P. They're just asking for it
if you can block them. In the corner she doesn't get pushed back far enough
and u can counter-attack (unless she manages to fake you out with the high /
low combinations).

What they should have been doing is comboing her punches from low short, jab
or whatever.

Can't you poke
>c.forward or dp (they always seem to play me when I'm playing a shotokan)

Heh ... but then you can say that to everything. You attack, I DP you. What
kind of strategy is that?

Oh, Karin's sweep has more range than the forward and if she fakes you out
with a whiffed/blocked DP (in the *corner* ) .... say Goodbye! hehehe. They
don't call her the juggle queen for nothing ...

These karin players seem super-predictable. It seems

Oh yeah... jumping in indiscriminately on Karin is just suicide ... if she's
too lazy to combo your ass, she can just use the almighty standing fierce
...

Come down to Cali...see what's gonna happen then. You can't get a 30+ Game
Win Streak unless you play against little kids, people who hardly played a
SFer, a major spazzer, if you put second player in yourself, and other reasons.
Try playing Valle or try playing the Japanese champion. Try playing the US Top

Your mouth has just written a check that you can't hope to cash.

Anyone want to really shut this guy up? Play him. Find him and destroy him

Do it.

LazyJae, your days are numbered. Believe me, if I could get over there to

This ain't talk...this is fact. Your posts show that you know nothing about
A3, yet you have the nerve to talk trash? Oh....no. I know I'M not going

I dare you to tell everyone where you play and what you look like so that the

No...it just takes an internet connection and a keyboard....which you have.
However, it takes SKILL to back up that trash. Son, you just don't know. You

You...are...DEAD...wrong on that, bub. Don't worry, though. I'm very sure

Congratulations! You can win WITHOUT using skill! WOW!!!!

I can put you on that big list on my wall.

Point: If it's easy, there's a good chance that everyone else can do it. If

LazyJae, you have absolutely NO excuse to back down now. NJ isn't far from

Have you been paying attention at all? Let me give you the basics of what will
happen when i parry one of you attacks. 1. If it's a medium or hard attack I get at
least a hard attack myself. 2. If I have a chain I get to use it. 3. If I have a
super I use it. Plain and simple. If I parry the other guy gets hurt. If I go for a
parry and miss nothing happens. Absolutely no risk. Plus I get super meter when I
parry.

Your a scrub yourself if you lose so much damage from fireball scrubs because they
are just free jump in combos.

> What is the result for tapping the Strong attacks relentless

Geez. Since when is taking a little less then a medium attack worth in chip damage
a lot. Especially since you should be pounding the crap out of the guy for just
sitting there an charging their super.

> I think the
> big opposition to parries is that they are something way different from Alpha.

Pay attention. It's because of the risk reward factor. Not because it's different.

Since when are corner traps cheap? They take a lot of work and a lot of mind games
to work right. Plus alpha isn't really over run by corner traps. Their more akin to
the old school games IMO.

Juggles are only in A3. Not in all of them. Plus you can flip out of the juggles.
Even Ryu's famed redizzy is escapable.

I doubt it unless they are changed dramatically.

I don't think everyone hated them more like they thought it was pointless to put
them in in the first place.

How can SF3 be more towards balanced game play when there are basically two teirs
in both SF games. The top teir and everybody else.

Don't remember any really long ass juggles in A3 though I do know a few in SF3. Go
figure.

Oh but Akuma, Yang, Yun and Ibuki are completely balanced in SF3. Yep, skip. They
sure are.

I know LazyJae and the kid can play when he says he goes on 30+ Game win
streaks belive him. I remember the Broadway Arcade days. He went on a 33 game
win Streak in SFA2. Then in Alpha 1 in Playland he went on 20+ win Streak, In
MSH the day it came out with Cap America a 20+ Game win Streak. X-Men vs SF
like 20+, MvSF I have'nt seen him play this that much, And in MvC he has gone
on 50+ in Game Express. so if ya want to think he is a scrub belive what U
want. We play very Similar but his combo's are deadlier.

Alright. LazyJae basically said that all us AGSF people *lurker,
'regular' and so on* all had issues with parries. Jae said we 'didn't
understand' them, that we didn't know how to use them right. Onaje
thought differently.

Onaje had a refined and detailed opinion in opposition to Jae. He
gave a set of reasons why he, among others, had a VERY good idea about
parries. How to use them, how 'Option Select' helps ruin the game
*character imbalance is another drawback*... basically filling the
claims of Jae with more holes than a block of Swiss cheese on the
receiving end of a round of SMG fire would get.

Jae's response was to laugh. No refutes of Onaje's points, no counter
debate, no semblance of opposition... just laughter.

To me, that is what is called in flaming circles a 'dodge'. To dodge
is to completely ignore the subject*s* at hand, yet try to continue an
argument and/or launch an assault. Jae dodged Onaje's points. He
then proceeded to laugh *I'm assuming it was directed at mainly Onaje;
AGSF secondly*, which is seen as an 'assault', however weak. The
greater the issues/evidence/accusations a person 'dodges', the
'faster' and/or 'harder' that person is seen to have dodged. The
statements that Jae side-stepped... are OJ Fresh(TM). ;)

Well, I have to back up Lazy Jae on this one. Parries are a great element of
the game. Everything in a game can be abused, but parries are hardly that bad.

What is the result of abusing parries... nothing, no damage loss for the
oponent. What is the result for being a fireball scrub... lots of lost
chipping damage. What is the result for tapping the Strong attacks relentless
until you can pull off a super... lots of chip damage from a super. I think the

big opposition to parries is that they are something way different from Alpha.
People can perform cheap corner traps and juggles anymore like in Alpha. AC
were a pointless element of SFA3. In a couple of years, parries will be an
important element of SF and eveyone will like em. It will be just like super
combos when they first came out and everyone hated them. Both SFA3 and SF3 are
good series, but SF3 seems more oriented on balanced gameplay, which I find a
big plus. SFA3 seems to have a few bugs (I'll call them that for my purpose)
with long ass juggles and unfair character advantages.. V- Dhalsim

By the way, I failed to read the intire post of Atsuko, because it was just too

Not really short and sweet... it was pretty long, considering you quoted an entire
huge message for no reason. Anyway... you seem to be missing a VERY important
point. You said that the result of using parries is nothing? That's incorrect. The
result of using parries is a free combo of choice for the person doing the
parrying, which often is a very large combo that may result in over 50% life gone.
The opponent is getting punished for attacking. Parrying ruins the game, just like
losing 50% life for blocking in A3 and MVC, and losing 50% life for standing up in
Alpha 2.

OK, so you missed the fundamental point. After you parry an attack you are
free to super the opponent. If parries just let you avoid block damage no one
would complain, but the fact is that a close parry by a good player means you
will eat a super or combo. Play against someone who can do this and then get
back to us.

You do the Alex Headstomp? I parry, goodbye 25-50% life.

News flash: Win streaks don't matter against scrubs.

The true proof of skill lies in tournament play. NOTHING else matters.

Prove yourself in a tournament. Otherwise, don't post...because your posts
don't tell us that you (or he) possess any skill, either.

I'm sorry, but 50% damage for abusing a parry (which is basicaly sitting
there and waiting for only THAT THING) is not equal to 0% (which would be no
damage).

You see, it's not what the thing itself does, it's what it LEADS to.

Logic, my friend. Logic.

What is the result for being a fireball scrub... lots of lost
> chipping damage.

Wrong. You eat a dizzy combo by my hand if it's pre-Alpha SF; you eat a combo
ending with a knockdown move followed by some sort of wake-up game if it's
Alpha; you eat a combo into super if I have a level and it's Alpha, Marvel, or
ST; or you eat a chain into special move into super combo if it's SF3.

If you can't get out of the old FB/DP trap by now (and it's going on NINE
years old), you just plain suck. Learn how to jump straight up or learn how
to anticipate FB attempts.

Everyone look at what JB posted. THAT is the purest example of a scrub
posting.

> What is the result for tapping the Strong attacks relentless
> until you can pull off a super... lots of chip damage from a super.

Wrong, you pick a fast super and you use it the second they hit strong and it
will nail them. Hmmm...let me name them all:
Ryu: Shinkuu Hadouken (you should be attacking them, anyway)
Ken: Shippu Jinrai Kyaku (same as above)
Ibuki: Hashin Sho
Yang: Tenshin Senkyutai (best super art for this stupid tactic)
Yun: If you're playing SF3:NG, same as Yang. If not, you should be attacking!
Oro: Any (the key is to stay close so that they can't whiff strongs)
Dudley: Corkscrew Blow or Rolling Thunder (RT is best)
Elena: Brave Dance (lovely at picking off recovering attacks)
Hugo: Hammer Frenzy (If you're Hugo, you need to be close anyway...he dies to
turtles)
Alex: Stun Gun Head Butt (my favorite move to use against whiffers)
Sean: Hyper Tornado or HADO...BURST!!! (Duh!)
Urien: Aegis Reflector (full screen range and fairly instant...can't get much
better)
Akuma: Messatsu Gou-Hadouken (same comment as Ryu)

Once again, you show your scrubbiness to the world. Well done.

I think
the
> big opposition to parries is that they are something way different from Alpha.

As you keep proving, you don't nkow how to comprehend what you read.

> People can perform cheap corner traps and juggles anymore like in Alpha.

HAH! When were corner traps cheap? I always got out of them with a precisely
placed poke or well-timed super or high priority move. They're far from cheap
if you're good. If you're not good, you'll get out-thought every time.

> AC were a pointless element of SFA3.

So? We're not talking about A3. Even if we were, I'd admit that Alpha
Counters could stand to do more damage, but they're still useful to get out
of VCs (sometimes). Still, this is an example of a move that has little
risk, but even smaller reward attached to it. Parries give litle risk for
way too much.

See my point, yet?

In a couple of years, parries will be an
> important element of SF and eveyone will like em.

I hope not. Here's a suggestion.....whatever you do, just don't start making
games. Please don't.

> It will be just like super

I didn't hate them. I liked them, in fact. Heck, just about everyone liked
them. Where are you getting this from??

Both SFA3 and SF3
are
> good series, but SF3 seems more oriented on balanced gameplay, which I find a

You STILL haven't played this game to it's potential. you keep showing it
day by day. Ibuki, Yun, Akuma, and Yang rule 2I. Sean can contend with Yun,
but that's as far as he goes up the ladder. Everyone else has a very hard
time with the top four, thus they are rated a whole tier below them.

Wake up and smell the coffee. SF3:2I is NOT balanced. Neither was SF3.

You're typing like a scrub again.

You can only get a long juggle on someone in two instances:
1. You're using V-ism mode and you're currently in a VC.
2. Your opponent is flipping out of the air when he shouldn't.

As for the character balance, there's your first correct statement of the
week. Congratulations!

It wasn't. You just read slow.

No. Short and sweet doesn't win debates. Try going to one and watching.

And, by the way, common sense tells you that when you're not using the
included text, you DELETE IT! Hello, McFly!!

You really need to get it together. You're so disillusioned that it's
hopelessly hilarious. Sorry for being so harsh, but dang...you're just NOT
getting it.

I agree with this, BUT:

Okay, this I disagree with. "NOTHING else matters", ONaje? Come on.
Tournament play is good at determining who's got the greatest nerves as
well as greatest skill (or who can abuse the game engine the most, where
applicable). While I'm not claiming that tournament play is not our best
indicator of skill, it's not the only one nor is it so singularly
important that "NOTHING else matters". Some players are damn good, but
just aren't tournament worthy. Say, you haven't won any tournies have
you? You don't think that you suck do you? :p

Don't be so hard on the non-tourny players. If they could play in the
right areas, they *could* be some of the best y'know? :p

Be that as it may, there's a big difference between "not tourny-worthy"
and "scrub". And win streaks vs. scrubs definitely don't count... :p

Hey now....my toes are tender!!! Don't be steppin' on my toes!! :)

Well, I wasn't in the best of moods when I typed that, so it came out kinda
harsh. When I start throwing absolutes around like that, I'm overdoing it.
But anyway, I agree that tournaments aren't the ONLY indicator of skill.
However, they are the best, as you agreed. The only other thing that you
could really use is versus play against people that are tournament worthy.
Everyone that I play with on a regular basis (the SDSU players and the San
Diego a.g.sf2 players), has been in at least one tourney. And, might I add,
they've all done pretty well with their shot. So, I at least know that when
I can play Bob (Painter) and give him a run for his money most of the time,
I've got some amount of skill. But, my biggest indicator of my skill is when
I've gone to tourneys and done fairly well (i.e. the Dec. 19 SHGL tourney).

Still, you have to not only test yourself (I mean TRULY test yourself), but
you also have to be able to evaluate yourself honestly. When I first
traveled up to SHGL to be in a tourney, I was thrououghly expecting to kick
some serious butt. Then...I played...and lost horribly. Why? I hadn't
played anyone outside of the city. I had a VERY poor idea of just how good I
was because I hadn't seen what's really out there.

So, yeah...maybe there are some people out there that are better that can't
get to tournaments for whatever reason. I still say that they haven't proven
themselves until they haven't been to a tourney. You can TRY to evaluate
yourself based on how you do in that little arcade you go to (like I did for
YEARS), but you'll never truly know until you've fought the best. The best
place to find the best are at tournaments.

Well....I don't think there's a big difference. I mean...I wouldn't say I'm
extremely tourney worthy and I know players that aren't as good as me, but
they're still tourney worthy. It tends to be that the scrubs get just plain
walked over in tourneys, while those that are better can manage.

Of course, it all depends on what kind of field you've got for the
tournament. I mean, if you gather the top 31 SF players in the U.S. and then
stick me in there....well....I don't exactly know how I'd do, but I kinda
doubt I'd win more than two matches (unless "somebody" was on my side the
whole time). A scrub, however, would get thoroughly destroyed. Now, gather
a field of 31 players, distributing equally the skill level of each player on
the skill spectrum from newbie to expert. Now...put me in there. I'll
definitely get rid of the newbies and scrubs (I do it most of the time) and I
should be able to take out the average players, as well. The good players
are where the real fights will be. As for the experts....I might not make it
that far. A scrub might beat a newbie and might beat another scrub....but
those that know what they're doing (average players usually know a little
something about what they're doing) will "teach" them with pain (ala
Psylocke's win quote). :)

Gee...did I ramble? :)

Chocobo.. thanks for responding in an unbiased nature.. everyone else was
obviously anti-parry and did not up there argue with good examples... and less
than displomatic nature..
Also, people respost messages of the previous post so others know who there
are responding to. Sometimes posts are not in order of responses. Therefore
copying the post is nessary.

Why did you respond twice to the same message. Bored little scrub... what a
shame

Who's the bigger scrub? The one that posts twice because he has useful
information and truth to share....or the one that does nothing but waste
bandwidth?

If you plan to tangle with me, think first. Then...think again.

But yeah...I was bored. That's what happens when you take care of business
early in the week. Hmmm....you didn't consider THAT angle, did you? :)
Funny, isn't it? I can easily out-think you by using something you
don't.....logic.

BTW, how many FAQs are you in the credits on? I'm on at least two, both of
them combo FAQs. Who are you, again? I've been in tournaments and have
played known tournament players and had THEM complement me on my skill. What
have YOU done? Yeah...just like I thought....nothing but a wannabe.

Bottom line: You can't talk about me unless you actually contribute something
or prove yourself in a concrete way.

Now, do you want more, or shall we end this here and now in a mature fashion?

I guess Chocobo is the only one that got through....'cause everyone else was
saying the exact same thing.

At least you got it. That's the important part.
