Try #capcom on EFnet. That is where you will find most of us.

The official IRC channel of this NG is #capcom.

BTW, if you tried #sf2 and #sf3 and every other thing you could think of
related to SF, you forgot that Capcom makes the games...and since we
talk about Capcom games here, for the most part, it's only logical that
we do the same in IRC...well...maybe not...but you get my drift.

Be warned, though. You'd better use common sense when you're on the
channel, lest you suffer the fate of those that get flamed on this NG.

Don't worry about me, though. I'm one of the nice ones. :)

Your timing is bad. That's all there is to it. When I get on there at
the peak hours, it's good.

Are you kidding? That channel is more boring than staring at a wall.
I've seen it with about twenty people and no one says a thing. Don't
tell me they are idling. Maybe you will get two phrases, if you are
lucky one full sentence, from them. Also, several of the frequents have
little or no personality and they suck the dick of any CA player.
They also attend tournaments run by Apoc. The channel is weak and
should only be visited when extremely bored.

Did you go there once, see people idle for 5 minutes, and never come
back? I often see conversations going.

Thank you very much, troll. You have really added a well thought out addition to
this newsgroup that contains quite a lot of useful information.

Pete,

First of all...the channel has it's moments of activity and idling like any
other channel. Though we may all be geeks, we can't be IRC geeks 24 hours a
day with interesting stuff to say concerning capcom games.

2nd. Perhaps the fact that YOU have nothing interesting say except how much
you suck East Coast Dick leads to the lack of discussion?

3rd. What the fuck does tournaments ran by Apoc have to do with #capcom? I
have attended chicago tournaments, zeruel tournaments and never been to
Vegas. Many people attended the vegas tournament that have never been on
#capcom.

Sorry if we don't stroke each other's egos on some random message boards
stating how good we are at MVC.

And may I add that I was just on there and there was PLENTY to talk
about.

Never base your judgements on one solitary experience. You might find
yourself more wrong than right, like in this case....just like I was
wrong about 2I Ken.

Even though I rarely go on IRC , I think this statement is very untrue. I have
been there when everyone was idiling, but I have also been there at times where
there was some good converstaion about gameplay and upcoming games like SFA3.
As Onaje said, it's just in the timing.

BTW what are the peak hours?

I think all of the "good" IRCers are night owls.
Somewhere in the range of 9 p.m. to around 3 a.m...though there are
times in the afternoon that good conversations get started.

Thanks, I'll take that advice :).
