I would love to see an mvC2 tourney as would the rest of my crew . We will be
flying into NJ early Fri morning so we can get some practice at the Break
before the crowds close in . We were planning on bringing one of our DCs and
MvC2 anyway to play at the hotel between hours of the tournament .
If a tourney at the Break doesn't work out anyone staying at the Howard Johnson
that weekend should check out our competition
Later

Where would you hold it? I suspect there's going to be a dearth of room
as it is. Oterhwise, throw my vote in (I might actually be able to show
up). Can we bring our own sticks? I got a lovely number that I've had
for years works great with the PSX->DC convter. Though a MAS wil do just
as well... :)
BTW, this is free, right?

If an arcade doesn't have a version of SF or SS in it, then it's not an
arcade
Allow me to end this now. There will not be an MC2 tournament at the Break for ECC2000 - DC or arcade. There are several reasons why it isn't in the tournament. The game is too new.
The arcade doesn't have 4 Naomi boards.
It is hard enough to run 6 tournies, 7 would be too much.
You can have fun playing it all weekend at ECC and next year we will include it in the tournament.

Wow Pete, you obviously can't read. I said this is a DREAMCAST tournament,
there would be no need for 4 Naomi boards, just 2 or 3 DCs, which I already
have people ready to donate. As for the game is too new??? Thats just bullshit,
and a sorry excuse, people want to see this tournament. And as for too many
tournies???? I am more than capable of running this myself. But it's alright,
if you don't want it at the Break then we'll just have to have it at Motel 6
Saturday.
Anybody know wants to be in this tourney, e-mail me so that I can get a list.
I'm gonna have to limit the tourney to maybe the first 30 or 40 entries since
it's at a motel.

Yes, Pete is a dumbass, but that's nothing new. However... the game really is too
new for a serious tournament, that's a simple fact. A large number of the people
attending ECC have no machine in their area, and have never even seen the game.
It's hopeless for them to try to compete against people who have had it since day
one. It's even arguable that there hasn't been enough time even for the people who
have had it for a long time. I bought the DC version right away, and I still know
absolutely nothing about half the cast, despite playing the game quite a bit.

Yeah, if you were thinking of holding this at the Break... it's just not going to
happen. I'm not quite sure how it'll work in the motel either, unless you have a
few rooms all next to each other (each one has one TV inside, with one DC
connected). I also don't know when you plan to run it... it would have to be well
over midnight, and it would take a couple of hours at least. But still, I think it
could turn out to be the best part of ECC.... you'll certainly get to play more
games there than at the Break.
