You can also use his long-range standing forward (the one where he spins
around) to hop over low tigershots. It seems like the upside-down
standing roundhouse might work, too. Or maybe he gets pegged in the
head. :)
Ken
He would get pegged in the head because the upside-down kick works only from
close-range. I personally think that sucks because there a situations where
I'd like to use the upside-down kick where he'll do a standing Roundhouse
instead. I've noticed the upside-down kick is the only hold-toward-or-back
manuever (Chest Flip Kick, Neck Breaker, Knee Thrust, etc) that requires you
to be a certain distance away to execute it. Well, on second thought, maybe
one of Blanka's headbutt things is that way too...

Yeah, and Chun Li's flip kicks. Or is that what you were talking about
when you said "chest flip kick" and "neck breaker?" Those have to be
done at close range, don't they?
Re: the worthlessness of the knee thrust--I don't think it's that lame
looking and it's a decent way of hitting people out of the air at a
distance. I think it has about the same range as the backfist ot the
upside-down roundhouse.
Ken
I don't know what version you're playing on, but on CE, the knee
will not go over or through low tigers, and I doubt it does on HF. The only
uses it has are to pop Sagat when he throws a tiger into your SB, or to
kill someone in an embarrassing manner (or a manner for your opponent to
accidently get it when trying to sweep). The tick previously posted
involving it doesn't work worth cr*p.
Actually, I just thought of _one_ use: you can hop behind a SB
to keep up with it and otherwise screw with your opponents distancing.

From what I've heard, neither the Knee or the long-range-hopping Forward
will go over Low-Tigers in CE but they will in HF.

You can hop over low tigers with Guile's standing forward. There is no
doubt about it. Try it out, if you don't believe.

Of course I believe it. I'm the one who posted about it in the first
place :) Laurent said that it wasn't do-able in CE and I heard from
someone that it wasn't do-able in CE too...but Tom cleared that up.
YOu should read more carefully :)

After experimenting I found that Guile cannot hop ( long range standing forward
kick ) over SLOW Low-Tigers. He hops and spins but then proceeds to land smack
in the middle of the thing.
I love the way Blanka can walk forward under the High-Tigers, Really pisses
off those Sagat players who aren't in the know.
I didn't know that Vega can do a similar 'duck' with his claw, but then again
no one plays Vega here, Not on HF, nor on CE.
Does anyone play CE anymore now that HF is out. Gross me out, it looks so
S-L-O-W, and it's so biased towards Guile and Bison ( This coming from an avid
Dhalsim, ChunLi & Blanka player, it's not surprising that I hated really good
Guile players ).

I have tried this move repeatedly, and using the knee-hop
to go over low tiger fireballs does _not_ work in CE. Toms statement was
a little obscure as he said it goes over Tiger Knee's. What does this
mean? It overrides the knee? We're discussing going over FB's. The
standing middle kick _will_ clear a low FB, but the knee won't.

Sure. Nothing new here. Everything I said above is true. Anything else
is either your conclusion or someone else's gibberish.
