Having just aquired a 2nd hand Playstation and the original Resident Evil
game, I have been enjoying when of the best games ever. The only question I
have so far is how to get into the room where, I presume, you can mix the
v-jolt to kill Plant 42. I've tried the code, 345, on the keypad but the
door still doesn't open and what is the significance of the pool table in
the guards games room ??

All help appreciated,

Paul

I thought the code in the original RE for Jill is 315 and Chris is 245. The
pool table acts like a clock. It'll tell you the code for the room. But it
only works if you haven't screwed with it prior. Try hitting "543" to set it
back to normal, then do the actual code.

Wait! Don't open that door!
(Couldn't have said it better myself)

I did that when I first came across it :)
But it didn't work for me :(
I just went in and got saved by Barry!

Didn't someone say Barry wasn't good for anything not to long ago?? He
can't be all bad if he pulled your fat out of the fire. 8~!{} -- Yay
Berry!!

Tom (the old guy)

Who can't like a guy who can say "You, the Master of unlocking" to a former
thief, all while carrying a 357 Magnum. Love him, when does he get his own
adventure (other than that Zombie cruise ship thingy)

Thany you Crystal, someone agrees with me. It's easier and more fun that
way. I guess they put the pool table bit in as a last resort.

Perhaps if you've done things to get Barry;s help it won;t let you in. The
Jill scenario is weird like that.

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that when you get the shotgun and
Barry saves you, that the doors lock, but if Barry isn't meant to save you
it doesn't.

Not really, because the only way you get Barry not saving you is by putting
the broken Shotgun which disarms the trap.

I'm talking about when you go upstairs first despite him telling you to stay
on the ground floor. You'll see him up there and you'll both laugh about
neither of you being on the ground floor. Now when you go to get the shotgun
he won't save you so you have to run back into the room and put the shotgun
back or else you die, and it has happened to me before so I know. Then you
have to run all the way across the mansion and get that broken shotgun in
order to get the real one.

If you go up and get the grenade launcher, THEN go to that room, Barry will
not save you.

I don't think Barry will ever get his own game! He's more of a "background"

How do you meet Barry in the researchers room?
I've done it once and only once and can't figure out what I did differently.

The room with the fish tank. You walk in and Barry is reading the letter
and gives it to Jill who says there is a peice missing and Barry says maybe
it was the most important part. I can't remember what else happend though.

hehehe, it isn't the bit from RE-jigalo where Jill goes:
"Barry!!!....... protect yourself...."
Barry : "Maybe THAT wAs the MoST IMPORTant ParT!?"
The above quote from Barry is cased such as that the part's that he stresses
are upper case, and the relaxed parts are in lower case!

it work for music CD's too? I have wanted to make some CD's of my own using

Well, I myself use PSMplay, to get the tracks from game CD's.
I'm not sure how you'd do it for normal CD's. But any standard ripper should
do!
I did get a program once, but I got a bit bored with it 'cos I'm not into
music, so I got rid of it. I found it through Yahoo. Just do a standard
search for "music ripper" or something like that!
PSMplay you can get from http://segu.psxemu.com I'd download the beta
version which now supports FF9. The only down side is that it doesn't do the
background music from the final fantasy games (or any other's to that
point....... unless they're like "music"-music, and not "midi"-music!).
