Director Paul Anderson Announces New Cast Members
09.04.2002
Counting Down: We at AMI recently chated with Paul Anderson and he
claimed that a new cast for Resident Evil 2 has been chosen. Milla
Jovovich will return as "Alice", Gina Phillips from "Jeepers Creepers"
will appear as "Claire", and Natasha Henstridge will appear as the
S.T.A.R.S member "Jill Valentine". And of course "Nemesis" will be
played by the handsome Eric Mabius. Paul Anderson also has some other
male leads for the movie but is not sure if they will say yes to the
script.
Too bad the movie will probably be as shitty as the first one.
we don't know that for sure.

It has NEMESIS in it. RE3 was the worse game in the series, the first
movie sucked. The cards are really stacked against this movie.

Yes.

Countingdown.com always seemed to be a fairly respectable site. They quote an interview
where Anderson says the next movie has Jill and Claire.
Is this confirmed info? Counting Down lists a link to the site where they got the info
(www.ami.com) but it just takes you to a computer storage company. Strange, huh? I
currently rate this as a 6 (out of 10) on the plausibility scale. I only rank it that
high because Rob McGregor, our RE guru seems to think its true.
But is it? Where can I find this info linked to a reliable source?

Not to mention I doubt the truth of this report at the time. No one has been able to show who
AMI is. Counting Down and other sites have been linking to AMI.com, which is American
Megatrends Incorporated, a computer networks company. Somehow I doubt they interviewed
Anderson. And even though, a check of the site will probably come up with nothing.

LOL, I just made a post about that... Agh, no way do I currently think it's true. The only
thing I know is correct is that a sequel is planned. And of course everyone should know that
by now.
I really hope not... IF it is I am not gunna see that movie either
Nope. Great game (with great reviews), just in VERY good company.

I had thought that countingdown.com was fairly reliable .....but maybe it's not. I first heard
of the site during the mania preceding the release of "Episode One". I later noticed a movie
trailer using countingdown.com as its official website and so I thought it's credible. I have
know idea who "Scooby", the guy that reported this "news" is. Is he an official part of the
their team or just some guy posting rumors?
Now that Rob has his doubts, I rate this a 3 out of 10 on the plausibility meter

Not for this newsgroup, I wasn't. I had the date of the article fully
in mind and checked AGRE's archives beforehand to see if the article
had been posted in here previously, and it hadn't.
Not everybody has the chance to scan about all the RE-related sites
everyday. So when I found the weeks-old article, it certainly was new
news to me and after scanning AGRE's archives and finding that it had
never been previously posted, I thought I was just doing a service to
all the AGRE'ers who hadn't read it yet.
So there!!! ;-)
I hadn't read the article until you posted it.
Thanks.

Thanks as well I hadn't read it as well (Not that I'll actual go see the
thing), and not to throw stones but some people have been rather trollish on
the subject of this type of post, and assume that everybody knows
everything, about rumors, releases and the such.

How old are you? 13-15? An honest question, I'm interested in the
average age of people who think the movie was awesome.
