I've heard that the zombie eating one of the STARS member's head is not in
the original Resident Evil or at least the part where the head rolls onto
the floor. That's at least what my friend said when he say my copy of the
Director's Cut. Before the Director's Cut came out, I heard that there was
going to be even a couple of scenes left out of the Director's Cut. This
upsetted many RE fans and petitions were started. Still, I think Capcom did
end up leaving out the rumored, questionable scenes.

Yeah they left out alot ..the better intro that shows joseph being eaten
alive and the "kenneths rolling head" movie. the only difference is forrest
turns into a zombie and attacks you + you get some different costumes to
wear & all the items in the game are in different locations.

Vanne dude or dudette, Difference between them two is that the Directors
Cut has new camer angles, the items are in different places and you get
the Colt Python in that gun room near the serum room and theres more
Hunters where you go to the library

there are 3 games in 1 on the director's cut... first "training" is actually
the japanese version of RE 1, which is easier.. then normal, is just regular
RE. and the next one (i forgot if it's called advanced or whatever) but it's
the director's cut. there are many new camera angles to intensify the effect
of the spooky mansion. also, items and keys have been re-arranged a little.
and another thing i noticed is that when you go onto the balcony with the
dead STARS team member, instead of being attacked by crows he actually gets
up and attacks because he's a zombie.

I think I may have a quicktime of that. the head falls on the floor
and looks complete, but it rolls to reveal half the face is eaten

In Directors Cut, The director adds things that were cut from the
original RE. He also took out the Easy parts of the original like when
Barry saves you from the dropping ceiling when you get the shotgun,
that's not in Directors Cut if you stay there you get crushed not saved.
