Highest possible grade/ranking in RE3?

No matter what I do in RE3, I can only get an A when I beat it. I've heard
there's an S grade in RE3, does it really exist? If so, what are the
requirements to get it?

im not really sure, but from what i've heard thats only in the japaneese
version biohazard 3: last escape

like in resident evil 2 i think you have to use a knife or your handgun
only, only herbs no saves and under 2 1/2 hours and i think thats it!

I've NEVER seen that criteria. If you look at the instructions it just
says Time and Number of Saves.

Basic Handgun? If ALL you have to do is pass the game I could see this
being done. Just ditching monsters and shit untill you get the Upgraded
bulleets for the handgun. Of course this is Impossible scenario for poor
carlos, he starts with the Rifle in his inventory.

Biohazard 3 had 6 ranks, S thru E (S, A, B, C, D, E).
They took S away from Resident Evil 3 and just made it A thru F, 6 letters
straight in a row.
The rank is based on time played, health items used and saves used.
