Just use OSP (the definitive CA mod, IMO)
www.orangesmoothie.org/beta.html
Version 0.99g may or may not be released tonight, but 99f will do what you
want no problem.

Cut&Paste the following and shazam you can jump
set rj "vstr +rj; wait; wait; vstr -rj"
set +rj "cl_pitchspeed 5000;+lookdown;wait;wait;+attack;+moveup"
set -rj "cl_pitchspeed 140;-lookdown;-attack;-moveup;centerview"
set rjump "cl_pitchspeed
9999;+lookdown;wait;+attack;+moveup;wait;wait;-attack;-moveup;-lookdown;cl_p
itchspeed 140;wait;wait;centerview"
bind JOY3 "vstr rjump"
There is a cost in health, so if you don't have any armor then unless your
rjumping up on to some health you may not survive the landing with a health
of 83 or so. I'll give you an example:
MAP: Q3DM14 a.k.a. Grim Dungeons.
GOAL: Acquire the BFG and survive to go hunting.
A lot of the time when I first spawn in at the beginng of the game, it's
usually at or near the RPG which of coarse I go after first. Then I run to
the teleporter powerup because it spawns immediately and the golden armor
does not. By the time it takes you get the rockets and the teleporter you
now have to make a decision, (a)chance you can make it over to the armor
that just appeared over on the otherside of the pit; or(b) drop down through
the slot and try to get the BFG?
I prefer (b) because if I get control of the BFG fast I'm almost guaranteed
control of the early stages. Your opponents also have this goal too so
you've got to get across to safety quickly and possibly get the golden armor
too. The Rocket and/or BFG jump is very handy. If your relatively
coordinated you can also get of some shots at the pesky snipers up on the
Railgun platform. This would also be a good time to squeeze off a shot at
the guy just now running in the entrance way.
Experiment with it if you wish
Sigh. Of course it is - a clientside mod with no RJ damage isn't possible.
Since he just wants to play with his friend it seems a pretty safe bet that
they'll be running their own server, even if it's just a listen one...
