Please help with quake 2

i have wondered around for 2 hours looking for what i'm supposed to do.
I am in the Drilling area (game saves as "borehole") i have lowered the
bridge. it says find service elevator to factory...???? help,,i can't
find it.

I don't remember details about that level, but..
Sometimes if the exit can't be found on your level, go back to any
blocked doors on a previous level.

Go back to the previous level and lower the big elevator-bridge to the
third door.

SO I WAS STUCK One of the comments above said blow up red fuses. So to get to the FUSES which are hard to notice you have to go back into the room that has the life you can lower up make go up. What unlocking the lower bridge does is allow you to go to the VERY BOTTOM LEVEL in the room with the lava. You go into the room and kill the two guys. Then if you run over grate it says ACCESS DENINED shoot the fuse on the left and right little RED vertical red things to the left and the right of the grate and the grate opens. I actually had only one fuse to blow up as when I killed the two guys i must have shot one by accident. Hope that helps others.
