//offhand hook alias
alias +hook "use grapple; +attack"
alias -hook "-attack; weaplast"
bind x +hook
When you press and hold down x, the grappling hook fires and takes you to your
destination, when you release it unhooks and switches back to the weapon you
were using before. Hope this helps.

Been posted here hundreds of times. Lets try it again:
A grapple is just like a regular weapon, and is always in your
inventory. Select it from your inventory, fire it, and hold the fire
button down. The hook will grab something and draw you in fast.
Release the trigger to release the grapple hook. Or, alternatively,
select a different weapon while still holding your grapple and you'll
hang from where you are. Some useful aliases are:
alias +crapple "use grapple;+attack"
alias -crapple "-attack;weapprev"
bind mouse2 +crapple
Now every time you hit your right mouse button you will automatically
select the grapple and fire it. When you release the button you'll
drop and go back to the weapon you were originally holding...

Ok, but where do we put in these
commands, in the autoexec.cfg file
within the CTF dir?

Yes. The autoexec.cfg in the CTF folder should contain any aliases or
binding's you would use for ctf games.
The baseq2 autoexec.cfg would be for deathmatch (dm) games.
