does anyone know if there is other ways to punish / discipline
misbehaving petz (other than the water spray). Can you 'add on' or 'hex
in' other methods? Can you import disciplining methods from oddballz
like the various guns etc. (they appear to have more ways of punishing
than in catz and dogz). Also, are there any other petz apart from the
catz, dogz and oddballz? (like ribbits etc.)

You can modify the water spray bottle. The first toy I made was a
flamethrower spray bottle :). It's at the bottom of this page:

Don't think so, although you could remake these in Petz.

You mean, are there any other Petz-style games...? "Babyz" has the same
engine as Petz.

More specifically, that's

http://carolyn.thepetzwarehouse.com/NicholasTools.htm

Where, incidentally, you can find the marvellous tools with which to
make your own custom toyz

The snow gun and Transformer filmstrips can be put into toyz that are
suitable -- such as the spray bottle -- and the petz would react in
that way. The transformer will not, of course, transform petz.

There are a lot of third-party breedz made for the catz and dogz
games, but no separate game for only non-dog or cat pets. There are
official pigz and rabbits in the petz games, but they too are
basically dog and cat files.
