As I'm sure many of your know, Arceus will be available to download in the
United States and Puerto Rico from Toys 'R' Us between November 7 and 15.
All you need is a DS, Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, and I guess an
empty Wonder Card slot. Arceus the Alpha Pokemon is number 493 in the
National Pokedex (thus also making him the Omega, at least for now) and is
the God of Pokemon, being the center of the Sinnoh creation myth. He is a
Normal type by default, but his Multitype Ability allows him to change his
type (and the types of certain moves exclusive to him) by equipping the
elemental Plates. You'll have a little over a week, so you have plenty of
time to pick him up.

Got mine a couple days ago. I think they're all level 100. I couldn't get
to it right away, though, as it turned out my last save was in the middle of
Stark Mountain trying to track down Heatran. I figured I'd catch it before
picking up Arceus, only to find out getting to its chamber the first time
only sets up for catching him when you come back later, which I thought was
kinda messed up since it was so hard the first time, but at least I can do
it with a level 100 Pokemon god now. Also, 'cause I'm just a big geek that
way, I think I'll show off my new Arceus' stats!

How do you pronounce Arceus, anyway? I remember it being spelled Arseus
originally, suggesting it'd be pronounced "Ar-see-us," but in the
commercial for the TCG (I think) they pronounced it "Ar-key-us."

Not that this is authority or anything, but the movie featuring Arceus
is going to be shown on Cartoon Network relatively soon - in the next
week or two.I saw it in my TiVO guide and set things up to record.

I finally saw the commercial - they said the first showing of the new
movie is this Friday at 5:30pm.
