The reason I'm asking is because I *think* I should be able to do
this, but I've never seen an "import" button on the load screen. I'm
running patch 1.29, if that helps.
Thanks,
Samantha
You can do that but with limitations.
You can hit "Save Charachter" in the save menu to export your character,
then you start another game and choose to use your own character rather than
make a new one. as for puting it back into the OC, you can but you have to
start from the beginning of whatever chapter you were up to, start new game,
select the chapter you were up to and choose your character. if you want to
use the old save game with the new updated character you'll have to hack it
with a tool called LETO. it's on the vault. Let me know if you need any more
info.

Yes you can. Please see the following:
http://www3.telus.net/thepasture/dnd/nwn/reimport.htm
It's not exactly as straight forward as it could be but it gets you out
into what ever else you want to do and it brings you back into your game
*exactly* where you left off.
You can do it with a program called Leto. It allows all sorts of character
and game editing.

Remember to always make copies of characters and game saves before you edit
them.

If you dont mind restarting your module then you can just use the export
character feature. If you dont want to restart, then the savegames store the
character and map as different files, so this should be possible with a bit
of file copying.
