Hi folks,

I'm replaying (yup, still NWN1!) an older mod called "Foreboding In Sylvani"
by Ken Demarest, and I could use a few pointers.
If anyone knows of any Tips/Hints/Walkthrough's/etc... (or how to get in
touch with the author) I'd appreciate the help!

Thanks in advance!

Hey, but you're with some difficulty in that mod?

Hi Cristiano!

Well, I'm not sure how (or when) to interact with the bears in "Bear Cove".
Other than that, just some general questions... but nothing too serious.

Thanks for replying!

Hi Neil,
It's kind of hard to see, because everything is so bright, but somewhere around the middle of the falls (right before teh grizzly bear), an altar will appear. I don't know if it was always there (again, hard to see) but there was a trembling in the ground (floaty text above the PC's head). The altar has a few gems on it... leave those alone!

I took the gems, and the grizzly attacked me.

Later on, there is a clue (ranger's camp? Pixie?). It only appears in certain conversation paths. She mentions that the bears like gems (or the goddess of teh bears, or something). If you put enough gems on the altar, the ancient dire bear will become your hench-animal. Unfortunately, you can't access its inventory (it only has AC 18, would be nice to be able to give it rings, etc)

I never did find an answer to the "poor Julia" quest - found her body but no way to interact with it. Only did 3 of the 4 elemental gate quests but apparently you can finish the module without completing it.

A few bugs, and it froze my Win7 system about a half dozen times, but an OK module.

Hi AJ!

I had found the Altar previously and figured out the 'don't steal the gems'
thing, so I figured you were supposed to add some more. I just didn't have
enough of them on me at the time to make a difference, and when I finally
did later on, I was wayyy too far ahead in the game to backtrack. It's good
to know (for anyone else reading this thread) that the Ancient Dire Bear
could become a Henchie-Bear, nice catch!

The Poor Julia Quest involved a tombstone and/or a body found somewhere, and
that was rewarded with a few XP and one more Journal entry solved if I
recall.

I did eventually do all 4 Elemental Gates, and somehow finished the Mod
later on. I too am on a Win7x64 PC, but never got any freezes or tech
issues, Did you get any extra XP for that? <g> Anyway, thanks for all the
info and hope you enjoyed the game, I did!
