What is your Best Bow in Game

plus to hit (+3) but better mighty wise (+4) and also immune to mind spells.
Just found my newest one (level req 19-whew just made it) called Taralash.
Has 1d8 basic damage (same), base crit x3 (same), peircing (same), plus 4 to
hit (one higher), might plus4 (same), plus 4 to spot skill (nice new mod),
and the best new mod a permenent haste spell which cranks out better running
speed and faster volley of arrows. Didnt really need the immunity to mind
spells as I have a helmut that already has this mod. Has anyone found
better? Bow users get no chance to craft good ones, the game favors melee
chars and spellcasters crafting wise. This is the second time through the
game and actually the first time I used the Elven Court bow all the way to
the end and was disapointed in that being the best bow I came across. It's
nice that this time I have found better.

I did find a kickass crossbow the first game I played all the way through,
but I have to have a REAL bow, not some xbow, after all I DO have a lot of
Welsh blood in me, and they were renowned as the best bowmen ever.

It's only a Light Crossbow too. I had previously used some pretty good Heavies
before and still carry around a Crossbow of the Unicorn. The reason being that
is has Haste. I already have Hasted boots but when fighting Dragons I slip on
my Dragon Boots to overcome Fear and wield the Crossbow instead.

Found "Longarm" which did bludgeoning damage, but sold it as the +3 CLB was
still better as far as to hit + about the same damage range (iirc).

Same here, except the comp longbow +3 is better than the court bow
or the ripper if you have more than +4 damage due to strength. I
found a frost giant belt early on, and can do up to 6 pts. The comp
bow is +5 mighty, so that increased my damage a fair amount. With
boots of speed, I wouldn't need the speed increase from the other bow,
plus I can pull out my swords and still be hasted.

to the +3 Heavy I had been using on and off... I really don't use them all
that much, since I'm playing a cleric and my spells are preferable for
longer-range attacks. Crossbows don't seem to do much damage, even with
magic bolts...
I still use them though, mostly to shoot stuff through bars. I figure if the
critters/monsters are dumb enough to stand right where I can shoot them, why
not? It's what you'd do in real life anyway!

arrows as one of it's abilities. I rarely use it in combat (I'm a Paladin
with a Harbinger Kin +3) but it comes in handy when 'Picking' locks on
trapped chests :-)
