I am new to NWN and have a problem. My character is at the Blacklake
Zoo, rescuing the animals. WHich tree is it that I am supposed to put
the scroll on? I tried both the trees that are straight out from the zoo
gate past the big fountain and down the ramp, but the scroll just lies
on teh ground as a lost document. The lion's going to get tired of
following me around at this rate! (that's a joke...) So how does the
scroll/tree thing work? TYHank you. I will probably be a royal PITA
until I get the hang of this (but I am already Level 3!)

You use the scroll to cast the spell, you don't drop it. It's been
long enough I forget, my memory is that it's pretty clear.

A guide I found handy whenever I got stuck is:

http://www.planetneverwinter.com/walkthrough/NWN/walkthrough.html

Hope this helps. Enjoy Neverwinter Nights!

That seems to be the problem...it's in my inventory (the scroll) and
when I click on it nothing happens...only thing that5 happens is that I
can take it out and put it on the ground but then when I click on it, it
goes right back into inventory...so there must be some way to activate a
scroll that I am not seeing? I even tried dropping it into a spell slot
and that didn';t work...so...clear as mud to me..but thanks for answering...

Thank you..I will go there anon and see if I can figure this
out...couldn't find anything in the forums at BioWare...

When you right click on the scroll. You should get an option like "use
item" or "cast spell" to the lower right at about 4:30

Hey katy

First wrong tree - the tree is actually in the zoo so go back inside and
look round more. Second - scroll? I don't remember a scroll? You're
playing a druid, right? I didn't think druids and rangers needed a scroll
(I am the ranger queen, remember). Anyway, put it in one of your quick
slots and then click on it, or, as someone already said, right-click on the
scroll in the inventory - but it's easier to do with the quick slots because
you can see what you're doing.

Best wishes

Hey, Jen! Glad to see you're here! Yeah...I figured out last night that
there has to be another teree soemwhere,...the druid at the Great Tree
in The Core gave me the scroll and a key so I just assumed I needed to
use it...that poor lion has been dragged halfway around the city looking
for the right tree! oh well....I'll learn! Thanks, oh ranger queen..

Now that the tree problem is solved :-)

Did you play the prelude? You'd be level 3 by the time you left.

If you are enjoying yourself so far, there are some amazing free
modules at the NWvault. I've had this game for years and years, and
still am playing and finding interesting new mods.

You mean the training hall? I was still only level one after the stable
thing and then being sent out into the COre...but I am playing on Easy,
so I imagine that there aren't as many fights...I ahve vision problems
and if there's too much action, I get confused and can't follow...,
hence Easy until I know the game some..

See above..

Are you going out the back door at the zoo?

If you play through the training academy, you should be about level 3 before
you leave the stable. It's a tutorial really.

What happened I think is that because I played the demo through, I knew
where the stable was and ended up not fighting through all the halls
when the attack came but just made my way there...so I ended up facing
the world, so to speak, as a Level 1...but that's ok....

the tree is out of the zoo but not in black lake at large area. you enter
once entrance but the tree is out another exit. once you convert the tree
it's where the animals go to. game banshee has a walk through.
