*SPOILER*

I've done my best to remain somewhat vague here, but I figured if
you've been through it, you'll know what I'm asking about.

If you've successfully gotten past the initial encounter immediately
upon entering the Inner Sanctum, I'd love to hear how you managed it.
I could only say "You've got to be shitting me" and was waiting for
the punchline. I'm a 14th level wizard, and have Daelen along for the
ride. We both lasted about 5 seconds (Ok, 10 including the time spent
closing to melee).

I have to say, though, that I've been wondering why the game wasn't
harder... until recently. This entire Chapter so far has been quite a
bit harder than the rest of the game. I've been having to rest a lot
more often just to replenish the large number of spells I'm casting to
keep us moving along.

Oh, and a minor *gloat*. I had to dance when Mr. Second-in-command
failed his save against my Finger of Death spell (DC 22, he rolled a
2! 2+18=20). I was thinking the battle was going to be tough
especially after he cast his Time Stop.
Very cool. heheheee

Thanks much!

Yeah, I've only been through there at 20th level. My
paladin(19)/sorc(1) chewed them up in a minute or so. Don't know what
kind of arsenal you have at 14th lvl wizard, but I would recommend
checking your spellbooks and seeing how much you can buff up Daelan
and then stand back and shoot bolts at the big baddies and hope the
D'man can handle 'em.

And don't forget to stock lots and lots of Heal potions.
