Fire Beetle Bellies

Is there anything you can do with them (Fire Beetle Bellies), or should they
just be sold for the measly 1gp?

you can summon Belial and her Sucubus put a fire beetle belly into the
Ritual Uran and cast a fire spell.

How do you beat them tho?

Also a fire beetle belly will allow you to acess someone's shop(magic shop)
in Port Llast

She'll also give you a quest for 5 tomes

where is the Tower Key? I need it to enter a tower to find a tome

There's a troll guarding the bridge, I can usually persuade him to let me
through but I have no key

In Chapter 2, in the Port Llast area, there is a
merchant who will only let you look at her magical wares
if you give her a fire-beetle belly, or Skeleton finger,
or a few other things.

Head to the Shining Knight Arms and Armour shop, and talk to the owner,
especially about things he has for sale that are a little unusual, shall we
say. He'll allow you then to open the back door of his shop, and you will
meet a dwarf named Marrock who kicks the booty at armour and weapons
manufacturing. You can obtain a "recipe book" of sorts from him, which will
tell you just what you need to create the armour and weapons you
want...Fairy Dust, Fire Beetle Bellies, Gargoyle Skulls and the like are all
a part of this...I wouldn't trade the Greatsword I got from him for
anything...and the armour he makes resells quite well, if it turns out you
can't wear it. make sure you save before you have him make anything though,
just in case.

On the other side of that bridge, there is a door to Wanev's tower and a
cave entrance. Wanev's tower door cannot be picked, but the cave leads
to his basement. Don't kill him until you get the special gem for Eliaf
(sp?) in the Alliance Arms Inn from Wanev after sealing the Altar. Hope
I didn't give away too much.

That troll, like most other NPC's, has a blind spot. You can go
back to the gate and beat on it, and if you beat long and hard
enough, it will come down. You can still engage the troll in
conversation if you wish, and he will act as if the barrier is still
there. This is amusing.

first) you have to find a cave to go in through the back way

You can also summon Belial in the Ritual Chamber, place a FBB in the urn ans
cast fireball.

I don't know how you would kill him though, I think he's immortal, like
