I was just wondering what type of servers everyone enjoys. Like PW stuff or
hack and slash, or Pkill servers. Just curious.

As for me I prefer the Roll-play PW or semi-PW servers. Hoping to hear
from some others :)

I like Hack and Slash (guess I'll never get over my D2 addiction), but
persistant worlds with a Hack and Slash theme is great. I hate Pkill
servers, I've never liked player killers to begin with, Im more of a
cooperative player, I dont see the enjoyment in PKilling, but there are
plenty that do.

There is an upcoming Role Playing PW that is going to knock your socks off -
not sure how long before it will go live but not too long.

Check out the website www.adinfinitum-online.com for information and I
suggest you register (and subscribe to the newsletter).

I like both RP, and hack'n'slash.

My RP fix I get in Neverwinter Connections campaigns. Hack'n'slash I
do on Dor Maeglin, a PW with a player base that concerns itself with
cooperative play rather than PvP. (I used to play on Soul Forge, which
was more RP oriented but which has become too lagged for me to play
on.)

Cheers,
James

I'm very fond of PW's with lively PvP that are set in a hack & slash
setting. I got very tired of playing on arenas because of the Quake
feeling to it. You rest, you enter the arena, kill til you die, or
keep resting/killing in the arena. That sort of playing becomes both
draining and boring, despite how much I like NWN's PvP.

My dream-PW would be a PvP PW with faction-oriented fighting. A world
with most of Bioware's obvious errors nullified, and no
spell-items/weapons above +3. No spell resistance items, because they
stack with the monk feat Diamond Soul. Good leveling curve, towns with
laddered equipment, but not as good as you could find fighting stuff.
Not sure how looting other players should work, but that's about what
I want from a PW. It could be roleplay-friendly, I suppose, if there
were enough roleplayers that would enjoy playing in a very hostile
environment.

Siavash

Thanks for the input gang. :) I was asking to see if my current project
was going in a good direction. It is heavy on the roll-play with several
story driven plots. There are also a few hack-n-slash areas. It's not done
yet but I wanted to poll the gang here to see what ppl enjoyed. I won't
give a shameless plug, but anyone wants more info I'd be happy to give some
info on what I'm trying to accomplish.

Well, considering how much dice figure into the game, roll-play is
fairly appropos. It's at least a closer match than playing a rouge.

Why? It doesn't make any sense to write "roll-play".

Also, please don't top-post.

You're right, it doesn't make any sense.
Perhaps he was wrong, inaccurate, or then again he just made a typo.

The point is: why using the F word for such trivial issue??

I recommend Dark Sun Online

Great world, semi-PW, faction/guild wars and great mini-quests. Also a
very active and healthy community that is very helpful to n00bs.

Why not? I don't consider it a problem.

You're still top-posting; please stop.

top-posting is a perfectly valid form of expression...

...just as responding to someone's typo with needless profanity is a
perfectly valid form of expression. Perhaps you should refer to a good
dictionary for the meaning of the word "hypocrite".

Or maybe just live and let live.

Top-posting is contrary to the accepted usages of Usenet.

I think you'll find that "profanity" is historically not.

Also, it was not a typographical error, and it was one on which he had been
corrected before.
