NFS High Stakes and XP ?

Guy's.........thanx with the NFS fix for Porsche.
All I had to do was delete the file: gimme.dll and now
the game works perfectly under XP.
GREAT........Spent a lot of time on this one.

But now....
High Stakes still doesn't work under XP.
After starting with file: "nfshs.exe" I wil get a error.
"not a valid win32 application" or in dutch:
"nfshs.exe is geen geldige win-32 toepassing"

I have got 'n illegal version ((don't tell anybody-please :) ))
Maybe this is the problem. But earlier (19-12-2001)
AJ posted the same problem in this group.

Can somebody please help me........

Mines legit and I can't get it to run in W2K.

I am having the same problems with having to install NFS 4 on XP
Does any one know a solution to this,, My Auto patch in start program
does not work at all

I can install the game fine.... just can't run it :-(

if ANYONE finds a fix for NFS: HS, then post the file on this newsgroup...

try grabbing the latest 4.44 version of NFS:HS
it started to run...i gotta fool around it some more...
looks like it might work with the newest patch.
