Oh yeah! Very liberal in the blood department.
Sure to make a great X-Mas gift for Sen. Lieberman's boy!

I have the game. I had it on medium blood, but then I put it on full,
and everything is so weird and gross. Even the fatalaties are
different w/"MAX BLOOD" mode.

It's a decent fighting game. Overall, I gave it an 8.
I felt the game was about 21-23 Fatalities too short and that there's
some issues of imbalance in the fighting engine that leaves room for
abuse. Despite these issues, the rest of MK:DA is pretty solid and I
believe it's the best MK game since MK2. When I play MK:DA, I can't
help but think, "This is what MK4 should've been gameplay-wise!"
-BH-
do the fighters only have one each?
Unfortunately, yes. Only 1 Fatal per fighter. No stage fatalities or
anything like that. On plus the side, the MK team has allready begun
work on MK6. Since their engine is in place, the should've enough time
to include more fatalities, hidden characters, and other "holy shit"
moments that MKDA is bereft of but their work on MK6 could be cut
short as Midway is in bad financial shape.
Rumors are going around that they are looking to be purchased and
industry insiders allready alledge that Activision and EA were
approached on buying Midway but they passed. Personally, I hope either
Infogrames, Take Two Interactive, or Sega purchase Midway instead of
any of the big three console makers because Midway will still be free
to develope accross each console platform.
If MS, Nintendo, or Sony pick them up, Mortal Kombat will be doomed to
being another "exclusive" game on one particular console and that
would suck as it leaves many gamers out.

rate MKDA about 9/10. So the kinds of games I'm into are sports,
martial arts, fantasy/role playing, and adventure. WHAT ARE THE GOOD

I'll start with PSX games:
The original Metal Gear Solid was one of the greatest games ever made for
the PSX. Kinda an action/sneaker adventure game with loads of
replayability.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was another awesome PSX game that was
highly praised by all that had played it. One of the best old school 2D
platformers ever made. Another old school game was R-Type Delta - one of
the best side-scrolling shooters ever made.
Final Fantasy 7 is probably one of the best RPG out for the system, but
personally I prefer 8's characters and graphics. FF7 had a MUCH better
story though. Another RPG that I loved was Vargrant Story - it had a
unique realtime fighting system, as well as loads of replayability.
Need For Speed: High Stakes and Wipeout 3 were my fave racers for the
PSX. Rollcage 2 was pretty good also, but I had problems with the
grpahics running it on my PS2.
Lastly I'll have to mention the various survival horror games. Resident
Evil games are great, but RE2's proabably the best one out of the lot. My
fave though would be Silent Hill. It was (and still is) one of the
scariest, creepiest games I have ever played. Good graphics (for its
time), great sound effects, controls, and amazing atmosphere. The second
Silent Hill for the PS2 has better grpahics, but it's nowhere as good as
the original.
Now, for the PS2...
I'll give you a list of SOME of the games that you HAVE to check out.
Note that some of these aren't out yet, but are due out in the next couple
of months.
Zone of Enders: The 2nd Runner. You HAVE to check out this game. The
first game was the most amazing game I have ever played, with amazing
grpahics, controls, and suit (or mech or whatever you wanna call them)
designs. It was a bit short and the story wasn't up to scratch though -
the second one is due out soon, with more enemy types, characters, suits,
mission types, et cetera. Can't wait.
Deus Ex's a pretty good FPS/adventure game, with an amazing storyline that
changes depending on how you play.
Devil May Cry 2, Darkan: The Ancient Gates, Silent Hill 3, Primal, Fatal
Frames/Project Zero, MGS2:Substance, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy
X-2... and many more. Too many games - can't concentrate...
