Tribunal Temple Quest Problem "Riddles in the Dark"

Tharer Rotheloth assigned me to go to Mount Kand (cave)have to answer
3 riddles, "Riddles in the Dark" quest. The riddles are given by 3
Atronach; fire, ice, stone.
Well I get the "Yellow Book of Riddles," go to the cave and answer the
3 riddles (I didn't have to kill them by the way, they just let me
pass), but when I return Rotheloth does recognize I've been there.
Reloaded the game (I save after I'm assigned a quest) 3 times, no
good. I talked to each Atronach as I left the cave and got the answer
that I've already answered correctly.
Anyone else remember having this problem?

It's been a long time since I did this assignment. Did you click on the
Space bar when you got to the shrine and finish the quest? I seem to
remember that I had to go back and do this before I could clear this one.

to do the riddles to get past the guardians. Go "talk" to the shrine,
and your journal will update and the game will know you have done the
quest.

Humm... There's a shrine? Where? Past the Stone Atronach I assume.
Should have thought of this since all previous Temple Quests had to do
with a shrine of some sort.

Yes, there's another chamber, but the entrance is hard to see. Go past
the storm atronach and look for a cave entrance to the left. Night Eye
will make it easier to find.

THANKS! A flaming sword also helps. I completed Tribunal before the
Temple Quests.
Us old people can be really dense.
