#1 in the Hot Files section today at Flightsim.com.

It's apparently a VC panel made for a port-over plane. So I downloaded one
of the TDS models so I could add the VC panel. I followed the intensive
installation instructions to the letter. The plane wouldn't initialize.
I'm not sure if it was just a bad .cfg file in what I downloaded, or what.
The instructions were a little vague when explaining how to add a line to
the aircraft.cfg file. Just put it anywhere?

Frustration abounded. I gave up, went to http://www.fs-
freeware.net/downloads/summary/7-civil-airliners/3375-fsx-british-airways-
boeing-787-dreamliner and got one in British livery with the VC already
installed - the Alejandro version of the 737 VC, the one that actually
works.

Thanks, Uncle Vic. I found that they had one with Qantas livery too.
I'll give it a go.

It's a bit primitive having a 737 cockpit in a 787, but I guess
beggars can't be choosers.

For now, it's a VC that works. The TDS 787 is great... hell, it's about
a third of the hot files right now. It does deserve its own unique VC,
though.

Totally agree. The 787 has such a distinct cockpit, it really needs
its own VC, or at least a decent 2D panel. (I'm still quite happy with
2D, being, as I am, a man of simple needs...:-))
