It was a "two run homer" day yesterday. There are even more things to
do in California that back east. The first stop was ~50 miles west at
an infamous venue from Late 1969 which ended the 60's Pop Culture
in violence and death. This is just a preview of a series I'm putting
together.

First off, here's the P-51 with customer climbing out of the back seat

B-17 changing passengers. Ten individuals start coming out the waist
hatch, while 10 more customers waiting to board. The engines are still
running.

Have recorded over twenty videos from this event including a P-51 low
pass and the B-17 starting up four engines. The little Cannon Power-
Shot sure is a workhorse, and is small and easy to carry around, even
when hiking. The photos look somewhat 'over processed" with the use
of Paint Shop Pro X3 and its Smart Fix tool.

What a day.... and what a sunburn!!! :))

Those are great shot, Greg. I'm not a photo critic so not seeing what you
call 'over processed'. I just look, see, enjoy. I don't know enough about
photography to analyze and criticize.

I like!

Do you mean Livermore Field, or the racetrack?

In a rush, I messed up the text which is corrected below. It's
obviously EAST of the Bay area.

Livermore

First let's have a look at an older California Girl that was prowling
around the ramp at Livermore. She can be seen in a photo above (the
OP) walking under the B-17 nose turret with back toward the camera.

Can you say Cougar Town?? :))

Altamont

For days I could NOT figure out where the stage was located at the
racetrack. With the help of Google Earth, the GS image was mirrored.

http://home.comcast.net/~flightsim/GimmeShelter-p-1080_mirror.jpg

In the above view you'll see a yellow bus and a white bus below it.
Further down is a white and orange VW convertible bus. Also in the
upper right corner is a tractor-trailer rig with red cab. Those were
key reference marks.

Here's a highly processed photo taken by Bill Owens.

http://home.comcast.net/~flightsim/Altamont-Free-Festival_Bill-Owens.jpg

Straight away you'll see the white and orange VW, and behind the dude
with the orange cape is the white bus. Further to the right is the
yellow school bus with people sitting on top. It's beside (and under)
the tip on the flag stick. Look carefully on the hood of the VW Beetle
in the foreground left. That's a Super-8 video camera!!

The following images confirmed the location of the stage. You can just
barely locate the large white and yellow buses in the pic below.

Thanks.. and I think it's ok to mention that we discuss the photo
editing subject off-line. These recent pics really capture the
vibrance of a Sunday afternoon in California, and I've never been
happier with the results.

Here's an 11:00 view of the Mustang parked near the fuel pumps:

http://home.comcast.net/~flightsim/Betty_Jane_1000.jpg

See the ramp man's feet under the gear doors. The image is reduced to
1,000 pix across with X3 filters applied. I'll stop short of touting
Corel because there's something (well a few things) odd about that
company.. and unfortunately the only way forward with Paint Shop Pro.
