I hear there is a No CD crack available, where can I find it? Having to
locate the CD each time is driving me mad, and I often want to listen to an
audio CD.

Thing like this really annoy me, I've paid the cash and registered the
product, but I still have to be inconvenienced. Why can't Microsoft supply a
patch on registration?

Can't the owner of this group set it to moderated to stop wankers from you
steeling software?

Same as usual, send an e-mail to pir...@microsoft.com

Why have you assumed anyone is stealing software? What evidence have
you to call anyone a thief? I can't speak for most of the regulars on these
forums but, speaking just for myself, I'm really getting annoyed by folks,
like you, who seem to feel some need to be the village Software Police. I
believe you owe Mr. Joseph an apology.

Game Copy World isn't a warez site. They don't condone it. They DO offer
people the opportunity to be able to backup their games...games that people
purchased.

Of course, like any tool, it can be misused...hell, gasoline can be misused
but you don't call for the arrest of them do you?

I know for a fact that many sim sites condone the use of Game Copy World.
It does have it's value. Many people want to free up their CDROM drive
while playing games, if not for music purposes, for speed purposes.

You can report to Microsoft all you want....they'll find that my games are
legit.

You cant copy fs2000 without going through all the hassle of using mod
programs to get it to run anyway. I tried to backup my (legit) copy, and
trying to use that required me to run another program just to use it, which
pissed me off no end. So using a 'no cd crack' is a lot easier.

thats my 2 cents (and yes, my copy is legit too)

I copied my fs2k disks without any problems, Just dine the same for my Train
Sim disks, again works just fine.
I also use the No CD crack, at least Microsoft(r) has had the sense not to
make you use the disks in order for the Train Sim to work, and NO, I bought
my copies of flight sim and train sim, and will not let anyone have a copy.
As far as I know it is perfevtly legal to copy ANY disk from ANY software
house as long as it is for your own use.

Although I am not what one would consider rich - I have the funds to buy
software if I really want it. If it stinks I take it back immediately.

One thing I will not do is to buy a game I cannot get a crack for. The
reason, it pisses me off to no end to have to have the cd in the drive in
order to start the game. Its an arrogant cop-out by the OEM's. If the cd is
only used for subsequent installations - the odds of needing a backup should
be reduced.

There must be a reason that MSTS does not require the CD check!

Not all people who get cracks duplicate software illegally. Grow-up!!

Best Regards,

Jim T.

That told me!....although it took a while to understand the bad grammar.
Good job I'm not easily offended!

Anyway who mentioned anything about stealing?.....or maybe 'steeling' is
something completely different?

Sounds like you need to chill out abit..........

I want to know what is wrong with people anyway.  It is legal, if you own an original copy of the CD, to have a backup, it is only pirates who sell the CD's illegaly.  I think that there should be a way of 'cracking' a cd, so that a fully legal user can have a backup.

Just my view....

I seem to have missed the early parts of this thread - but there IS a NO-CD app for MSFS.

And, according to Microsoft, it is quite legal to make a personal backup of your legally purchased applications.
