The video was VERY well coordinated, and one would have to wonder who
could arrange for all the cameras.. aboard the AC, in the tower, on the
ramp, at street level, etc. What film production outfit? Think about
that.. could YOU stand on the ramp and take video? or access the tower?
Who would have thought to go out on Little Coyote Point (LCP) Trail and
film from there? Excellent work!!! A local "outdoor type" and aviation
enthusiast (sound familiar?) would know about the location. LCP is the
abutment point for the San Mateo Bridge.
Still looking at the 28R approach. With GE Street View one can virtually
move along the bay shore trails. Have a look at the Outer Marker gear in
the following screen cap:

It has the classic Yagis arrayed in a V-shape pointing toward zenith
which is what forms the marker "beam." A closer look....

Using GE Ruler the equipment pier is almost precisely (a contradiction?)
6 mile out from Rwys 28 threshold.
Here's what the captain would see crossing the marker and looking out
the LEFT seat.. a view of Foster City, San Mateo, the Bay Shore
Expressway and the Santa Cruz Mountains in the distance.
Large format image of what the Capt' would sees..
