Any Way To Reset ATC?

I have had numerous occasions where I will be communicating with ATC in FSX,
and suddenly there won't be any more menu selections even though ATC is
waiting for a response from me. After getting no response from me after
several attempts, ATC terminates their services, and I have to re-contact
them again. Is there some keyboard shortcut that I can press that resets ATC
when this happens? Just curious...

I presume this is FSX you are talking about. I get this too and have found
the only way around it is to retune the radio to some other frequency
manually which seems to fix it for me.

This will happen to me mainly on ILS approaches when coms are critical
and I find it super-annoying. On most aircraft you have two radio
frequencies.......one active and one standby. When you see both
frequencies the same, change the standby one to any number. When you
have the problem, click the standby frequency into the active. This
will restore your coms.

I don't know if this will help but in FS9 when ATC becomes goofy you can go
to map view and move your aircraft a tiny bit and that resets ATC.

Just had 2 whole days of the wet stuff but the forecast for the next week or
so looks pretty promising. The summer so far has been pretty good overall.
Just as well as we have the Abbotsford Airshow coming up next week which I
intend to try to get to. Even better we have the US Thunderbirds coming,
last here 3 years ago. They spent a good part of the week before the show
flying over my house as the turning point back to CYXX seemed to be nearby.
Love those F-16's. Whoooosh..........

I've encountered a similar issue. ATC window is 'blank'.
I just keep hitting the 'tilde' key, and eventually get the
ATC back. (glitch ?)
