When I try to install Spearhead, it says it can't find the install of MOHAA.
I tried reinstalling MOHAA & Spearhead again, but I get the same error.
(Win98 machine) I then tried it on an XP Pro machine, same error. How in the
hell can I get around this? This anti-pirate checking bull-shit is for the
birds!

Spearhead install? I just did it fine and easy, here are the steps to a
successful install.

1. Go to the store and buy the CD. (Last Friday I got Spearhead at BestBuy
$14.99)

2. Open box, put CD in the lowest letter CD drive.

3. Click on the install button.

4. Make sure setup is to your directory where MOHAA is installed.

5. Click Finish

6. Play Game.

Real simple isn't it. The most important step is #1 IMHO.

you have to acually install mohaa on that computer, you can't just drag it
through the network, spearhead must look for something in the registry to
find the installation path

I'm asking for help, not a load of bull-shit from some snot-nosed punk. It
doesn't even ask where I want to install it, so there is no way I can point
it to where MOHAA is located.

Re-read my post. I did reinstall it, both on my Win98 & XP Pro computer.
(dual boot) There was no dragging.

Chances are that you can't install Spearhead on a pirated version. Changing
your attitude might help if you want a proper reply.

Is this a registration key problem perhaps... I remember there was talk
about using regedit to delete old installtion info to get it to work
properly..

RTFM = Read The Fucking Manual.

Page 4 - Installing The Game

To install Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead:

5. You are now prompted to enter your serial number, which can be found on
the back of your Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead CD case.
Click OK.

6. If your version of Medal of Honor Allied Assault is out of date, the
program launches a patch installation. Click OK and follow the on-screen
prompts. The patch is installed and the Choose Destination Location screen
appears.

7. Choose the location where you wish the Medal of Honor Allied Assault
Spearhead files to be copied. Click NEXT to accept the default.

* To change the destination folder, click Browse..., select the location,
and click NEXT.

Now do you have a legit version of Medal of Honor Allied Assault?

Have you tried to manually do *All* the Medal of Honor Allied Assault
updates before installing the Spearhead Expansion Pack?

Try to manually update MOHAA and play a round before installing Spearhead.

You better be careful in who you call a snot-nosed punk around here, because
Usenet has a lot of spoonfeeder snot-nosed punks that include very little
info in their posts whining on why their warez ripped version won't install.

All you included in your post was that Spearhead wouldn't install on two
versions of Windows and a *Rant* about anti-pirate checking bull-shit.

Think before you hit the keyboard F'wit.

There should be a folder for both MOH and Spearhead in your
"InstallShield Installation Information" Folder, which is in the
Windows "Program Files" folder. This may be the problem. If these
install folder files are there, I dunno.

just an observation - in the UK at least the number is on the back of the
manual, not the case.

I left out that my manual was the USA version as Troll bait for Y'all
nit-pick'in Brits.

:)))

BestBuy would have clued anyone in to which version it was.
Do you have BestBuy in the UK? Is BestBuy worldwide? Anyone?

okay granted BestBuy are US and I should have spotted that.
Anyway nit-picking is a sign of cleanliness in some social groups :-)
