SITUATION:
I'm playing Medal of Honor: Breakthrough. I'm in the "Sicily - Gela"
section of the game -- the one where you're assaulted by more tanks
then you have Panzerschreck ammo to deal with. I suppose there's a
way to deal with the tanks using the mortars that are provided in the
situation. However...
PROBLEM:
...Life is short, and I'd rather not waste a lot of time learning how
to aim the mortars to weaken and/or kill the tanks. I'd prefer to
move on to other situations -- both in this game, and in life itself
-- that are less frustrating and absurd.
Therefore, I inquire of anyone who might know...
QUESTION:
What is the cheat code for obtaining unlimited ammunition in Medal of
Honor: Breakthrough?
(None of the cheat code lists available online list a code for
unlimited ammo. I've tried "wuss", but it did not replenish my
exhausted Panzerschreck ammo supply.)
Thanks,
John Burke
2pri...@comcast.net
P.S.
Why cheat?
So many of the game situations in the MOH series have the quality of
being frustrating and rather absurdly difficult. Up til now, I've
either just worked my way through them, or in one instance (the all
but impossible "Escape from Ft. Schmerzin" at the tag end of MOH:AA)
I've just gave up and moved on.
I guess I've reached the limits of my patience and tolerance with this
garbage. Hence the request of the "unlimited ammo" cheat code.
** That's PROBABLY what those mortars are for, but I could be wrong...

Your reply was childish! If you cannot offer helpful -- and
attitude-free -- advice, why contribute at all? Keeping your puerile
comments to yourself would save everyone a whole lot of time --
yourself, anyone else who might also have wondered about the topic of
my inquiry, and me.
But then, I guess if your going to use an e-mail address with a prefix
like "girlymann666", you have to live up to that pathetic moniker,
don't you?

Just calling it like I see it, JWB.
Most people play this game for fun, without cheating, as a challenge.
You, Sir, stated "I'd prefer to move on to other situations--both in
this game and in life itself--that are less frustrating and absurd". You
also stated "I guess I've reached the limits of my patience and tolerance
with this garbage".
Challenging game, isn't it?
I simply offered a suggestion that you try a much less frustrating game.
In light of your 'frustration' it would seem the prudent thing to do, don't
you think?
If the game is 'garbage' to you, then I might also suggest you take it
back to wherever you bought it for a refund or trade for another, much
easier to play, game. This would allow you to move on to other situations
as quickly as possible, saving your valuable time and effort (both in the
game and in life itself).
If you had simply done a quick search of the posts here, you would've
seen many threads that have covered this subject, offering walk-throughs and
advice, but I guess that would be too 'frustrating' for you, so instead you
come barging in asking for cheats.
How pathetic.
Oh, and by the way...TTHHHHHPPPPPPPPBBBBTTTT !

1. You persist in offering **no** constructive advice to a legitimate
inquiry. Instead, all you offer is your adolescent displays of
obnoxiousness. In doing so, you merely confirm the legitimacy of the
observations made in my prior posting.
2. You indulge in making unwarranted assumptions.
** I never said that the whole MOH series was "frustrating", "absurd"
and "garbage". I applied that description **only** to the "Sicily -
Gela"/Tank Assault section of MOH:Breakthrough and the "Escape from
Ft. Schmerzin" section of MOH:Allied Assault.
(BTW, IMHO the same descriptions could also easily be applied to
perhaps as many as four to six other situations in the series as well
-- excessively difficult, seemingly more dependent on luck than on the
player's thought or skill, and simply not worth the bother. Hence the
use of "cheats" to rapidly move through these parts and get onto more
interesting and worthy sections.)
** Your advice that I should return the game is likewise not germane.
I'm dissatisfied with some parts of of the MOH series, but find the
rest enjoyable.
(BTW, your acute sensitivity to criticism of the game is curious. You
behave as if I were attacking your creation. Did you play a part in
any aspect of the MOH series' design? If so, this would explain --
but not excuse -- both your animus-ridden attitude as well as the
game's sometimes user-unfriendly nature.)
3. If you're correct that advice regarding my inquiry was readily
available -- either in this newsgroup or elsewhere -- why didn't you
simply and **politely** refer me to where this information could be
found, rather than engaging in your display of immature peevishness?
I suppose the puerile pride you take in mastering all aspects of the
MOH series somehow gives you comfort. But it seems to me that this
conceit -- and the overbearing posturings that accompany it -- are all
some desperate attempt at overcompensating for a deeper sense of
inadequacy (As if the "girlymann666" moniker was not advertisement
enough of this!).
Again, how pathetic. How very, very pathetic.
Please, spare me! Spare us all!!!!
But sadly -- and more pathetic still -- you won't. You're just
another newsgroup "troll", compulsively polluting cyberspace with your
repellent personality.

'Constructive advice'. Hmmm.

I did *not* have any part in the creation of this game. I *did*,

JWB...you seem to be a moderately intelligent person (or have unlimited
access to a Webster's Collegiate). Since you're posting here, you must also
have access to a computer, and a minimal knowlege of its use.
Look around on your screen. I'll bet that somewhere on there is an
icon that will lead you to a search engine. This engine will lead you out
onto the internet (which can be a big, scary place, so be careful!).
Try typing in "Cheat codes for Medal of Honor". Don't strain yourself
doing this, I see from your posts that you are averse to any form of effort
when it comes to having your questions answered.
No, a silver platter will not magically appear with your answer, but
odds are that several options will present themselves for your perusal.
Please exercise caution whilst reading the responses to your query. Eye
strain can be painful.
Once you have completed reading the responses (go slowly, it might be
too much work), go to the link where you think you'll find your answer, and
read some more (Gads! More 'work'!).
After you have finished your search, please come back here and amaze me
with your new-found wisdom (or dazzle me with your bullshit).
I'll be here.

Until now, you've shown yourself to be infantile, obnoxious and
obdurate (Yeah, it's one of those words that -- according to your
mentality -- I could have only gotten with "unlimited access to a
Webster's Collegiate"). Your last response demonstrates all those
character deformations, but adds one additional defect as well --
abject stupidity.
You claimed that the answer to my question was easily available
online. I asked you to provide me with a link. In your latest
posting, you merely respond that I should look up a list of MOH cheat
codes of Google -- As if I hadn't communicated that I'd done this
already!
If you have the mental capacity to r-e-a-d and u-n-d-e-r-s-t-a-n-d the
following excerpt from my initial posting, please attempt to exercise
it.

What is it about the sentance "None of the cheat codes available
online list a code for unlimited ammo." you don't understand? There
are no big words that might cause you to have to consult a dictionary.
Lest you not understand what I was asking for in my query, I'll break
it down for you. And I'll try to keep it reeeeeeeeally simple. Here
goes....
Point 1: I **did** use Goggle to look for the information I asked
about here prior to posting. In case you've forgotten what that was
since the last paragraph (as well as the citation prior to that) I'll
spell it out for you yet again -- I was looking for a cheat code that
would provide "unlimited ammo".
Point 2: I **didn't** find that information. None of the lists that
Goggle referenced had a code for "unlimited ammo".
Are you with me so far?
Point 3: Since I didn't find the information on any of the lists
referenced by Google, I thought I might inquire with this newsgroup.
I was hoping to find someone here who might have expertise in this
area that was lacking elsewhere. If there was indeed no way to induce
an "unlimited ammo" cheat, I was then hoping for either a brief,
somewhat polite (or, at least, not grossly insulting) response
confirming this, or, just as good, no response at all.
Point 4: Instead, what I got was the blather of a pathetic little
newsgroup shit -- namely, you. You have nothing to offer that is
pertinent to my inquiry -- which you don't seem to have even
understood in the first place! Oh, and in case you don't know, "try
another game" is **not** constructive advice. It's merely a smartass
taunt. But, of course, you're incapable of recognizing the
difference, aren't you?
You apparently think your sophomoric animus-ridden discourse is some
kind of sign of wit or superiority. It isn't. It merely show you to
be a contemptable jerk -- just one of all too many who populate the
newsgroups.

<snipped a bunch of blather...>
I misjudged you, JWB. You are *not* a moderately intelligent person.
I had a brief moment of pity for you, so in the spirit of fairness I
took a moment to fire up Google to see if *I* could locate what you were
looking for. It has been quite a while since I searched for information
about cheat codes/types of cheats (researching for an Admin friend of mine,
not for my own personal use), and I thought that it could be entirely
possible that the information was no longer available on the Web.
It took me less than ten minutes to find what I (you?) was looking for.
T-e-n m-i-n-u-t-e-s.
Using Google.
Are you with me so far?
If *I* can find this information online (being so 'abjectly stupid'),
why can't you?
Is the internet different where you are?
Perhaps the settings on Mommy's computer won't allow you to search
thoroughly?
It is obvious to me that you are the type of person who desires
everything be handed to them on a silver platter...One who abhors any form
of effort to solve their own problems. You whine, you stamp your feet, you
call people names when they suggest that you make an "honest" effort to help
yourself.
My advice still stands. Try another game.

(Resident Repellant Personality)
You describe yourself as a person imbued with the a "spirit of
fairness". You also seem to want to think of yourself as an
intelligent, dilligent and savvy character -- about this game, as well
as the ways of the Web.
Given all these virtues that you've claimed for yourself, it's most
suprising that you've ommited from your last posting the **one** piece
of information that might establish some legitimacy for these claims:
The purported link where you supposedly found this MOH: Breakthrough
"unlimited ammo" cheat code.
The Google searches I conducted **prior** to posting my query on this
newsgroup revealed any number of webpages containing something like
the information shown below (See "Widely Available MOH: Breakthrough
Cheat Codes"). None of these listed what I was looking for -- an
"unlimited ammo" cheat code for the MOH: Breakthrough game.
Your failure to provide this information is most curious. It
indicates that one or more of the following are true about you...
1. You're **still** clueless about the specific nature of what I'm
looking. I specified all this in my initial posting. I clarified it
again in my last one. If you don't get it by now, the depth of your
stupidity simply defies description.
2. Your unclear about the most elementary convention of disputation --
providing proof that will establish the truth of your case. If this
is so, you are astoundingly naive.
3. The effort of copying and pasting a simple URL into your posting is
just too great for you. If so, you are profoundly lazy -- and a
hypocrite as well.
4. You did **not**, in fact, find this webpage containing the
"unlimited ammo" cheat code for the MOH: Breakthrough game. If this
be the case, you're an egregious liar.
So, which is it?
Of course, you might well elect to evade such revelation -- and
self-revelation -- by resorting to some lame-ass excuse for being
unable, or unwilling, to provide this information.
If this is your gambit, then I can only conclude that you are a
pathetic coward.
This is no great revelation. Your truculent and arrogant style of
discourse -- all so massively overcompensatory -- suggests as much.
Your "girlymann666" e-mail prefix practically advertises it.

Nope. I know exactly what you're looking for...an "unlimited ammo"
cheat because the level(s) you mentioned are taking up too much of your
valuable time (both in the game and in life itself). Your inability to find
this particular code says something about *someone's* stupidity...

I never lie, John. The truth is a lot more fun.
Unfortunately, the truth in *your* case is that you have obviously spent
your life avoiding any effort to help yourself, always putting the burden on
others to take up the slack for your total lack of motivation. If it
doesn't come pre-wrapped, ready-to-use, and on a platter, you're not
interested in exerting yourself one teensy bit. You jump up and down,
throwing a tantrum because "no one will help me" when you could just as
easily roll up your sleeves, pull your head out of your ass, and get to
work.
When someone like me has the audacity to suggest you look for things
yourself, you rant, you rave, you throw out derrogatory remarks, all in an
attempt to cover up your inadequacy.
What are *you* compensating for, Sir?
The answer to your query has been right in front of you the entire time,
*if* you had bothered to read beyond the first page or two.
I really shouldn't be, but I can't help being completely amazed at your
total lack of basic research skills.
> So, which is it?

See above. Especially the part about "others to take up the slack" and
"your inadequacy".
BTW...that will be $150.00 for the quickie psychoanalysis.
> If this is your gambit, then I can only conclude that you are a

*Puh-leeze*. Next you'll be calling me out for pistols at dawn. Grow

Sarcasm is another service I offer.
Please feel free to continue to make an ass of yourself.
That's how you described yourself in the conclusion to your last
posting. That self-description is indeed consistent with the style
and content -- such as it is -- of your discourse.
You won't prove that you actually have the information you **claim**
to possess. This makes it apparent that -- in addition to all the
other contemptable qualities you have flagrantly exhibited in this
thread -- you are also either a liar or a coward, or both.
The primary utility of newsgroups such as this is to provide useful
advice to anyone who might seek it on the topic the group was set up
to address.
Ahh, but that's not your purpose, is it?
You just want to strut about, bragging about yourself and belittling
others. When anyone asks you for proof that might establish the truth
of your self-concept, you escape into an rhetorical ink-cloud of
derision and contempt.
Most people would describe such behavior by a number of names -- from
simple monikers like "jerk" or "asshole" to more complex constructions
like "arrogant obnoxious attetion-seeking arrested adolescent" or "ego
inferiority overcompensation".
But you are so deeply in the grip of your own malignantly narcissistic
delusions that none of this means anything, does it? The only thing
that matters to you is being about to toss of the the right quip or
insult, all the better to desperately attempt to maintain an ego
bloated with nothing more than bile and conceit.
To you, such behavior is a source of perverse pride, a sad
justification for an apparently otherwise pointless existance.
As I observed initally, so I will end here. To anyone with a
reasonably normal mentality, such conduct is all so pointless, so
absurd, so pathetic.
If this lame spectacle is what-passes-for-your-life, you can have it

There you go again, wasting your time in useless name calling when it
could be better spent on more fruitful pursuits...such as learning to play

Regarding "contemptable qualities"; I can assure you, Sir, that my

You are pompous, conceited, and a lazy do-nothing whose only purpose

I said it before, and I'll say it again...You have all the information
you need to answer your own query *right in front of you*.
All you have to do is *remove your head from your anal opening*, fire up
your search engine, and *read*.
Are you with me so far? Could I make it any plainer? Still lost?
Correct me if I'm wrong in that you have previously stated that you had
tried everything, including "Wuss".
Are you *sure* that you have tried everything? Think hard, and be
honest with yourself. I know that being honest with yourself may be
difficult for you, but do try just this once.
Read the information that is presented to you...don't simply scan and
scroll, but instead attempt to focus your attention on what is written. You
may stick out your tongue if it helps your concentration. I won't tell
anyone.
This clue is one of the things I am willing to impart to you.
The other is my scorn.
The rest you will have to do yourself, when Mommy gets done using the

Thank you for attempting to bring comity to this discourse. But -- as
I'm sure you well know -- it's all in vain.
The identifiers my antagonist chooses for himself -- "Roadrash" aka
"girlymann666" aka "(Resident Repellant Personality)" -- are an
all-too-obvious form of pitiful self-confession. He celebrates his
pitiful obnoxiousness, as if it is some kind of achievement.
What a pathetic asshole! I suppose that's a good a name for him as
any...
This pathetic asshole fails to grasp that his gambit of "I have the
information, but I'm not going to tell you" is not merely childish,
but a violation of the implicit purpose of this -- or any other --
newsgroup: to share information in a manner that is at least not
blatantly, and deliberately, insulting.
If this pathetic asshole does, in fact, possess the information he
**claims** to have, then he's merely making a shameful display of his
resentment-ridden mentality which cannot abide someone resolving a
problem in a manner easier that his conceit deems proper. And all
this pique about a game! How absurd. How pitiful.
(I suppose it might add to this pathetic asshole's envy-laden wrath if
he were to learn that I surmounted my own particular difficulty long
before he ever began his abusive postings here.)
If this pathetic asshole lacks the information he claims to possess,
then this makes him a pitifully egregious liar.
Either way, this is all just so very lame and useless.
Yes, I know, I probably should have just ignored this pathetic
asshole. It's not like he's the only "troll" ever to disgrace a
newsgroup.
All I can say in my defense is that I despise such behavior, and feel
compelled to oppose it.
But there comes a point at which nothing more can be learned, or
gained, from such disputation. It seems that this point has been
reached.
This pathetic asshole is clearly as incorrigible as he is odious. My
sympathy to all -- here and elsewhere -- who provoke, and then must

Congratulations to you, Sir.
I know that you had to work a little for it, but in the end all things
worth having are worth working for.

I, too, am vehemently opposed to some things...particularly cheats and
the people who use them.
<snipped again>
My opinion of you has not changed...and probably never will. I've
stated it often enough as far as this subject is concerned.
Your opinion of me is also unlikely to change.
A person that I hold in high regard has requested that this thread
should come to an end, and so (with your cooperation) I will attempt to end
it here.
Can we agree on this?

I thank you for your last posting. It was not personally insulting,
and its tone was quite civil. A response like this would have saved
you, myself and anyone else who felt compelled to monitor this thread,
much time and aggravation.
The following observations aren't intended to be offensive. They're
merely an attempt to give my perspective on matters you've raised most
recently.
1. Yes, I was able to extricate myself from MOH: Breakthrough's
"Sicily - Gela"/Tank Assault situation. However, I didn't have much
to do with "working for it".
I did use the cheats (I surely used "wuss", & "dog"; I think I used
"giveweapon weapons / bazooka.tik" as well.). In my experience, they
provided me with enough anti-tank ammo to kill almost all of the
tanks, as well as the "God Mode"-given longevity to survive their
shelling.
By the time I ran out of anti-tank ammo, two tanks remained. My
success against them seems to have been the result of just pure,
random, game-generated, luck.
These vehicles were stopped short of the stone wall by being "hung up"
on some obstacle -- I think they ran into the derelict hulls of the
tanks I'd already destroyed. With both tanks immobilized short of the
wall, I could then use the mortars to kill them. It took a quite
number of shots -- and far more time then I would have had if the
tanks were still mobile (being that the mortar's crosshairs are not
especially useful for aiming them).
2. I disagree with the view that seems to be implicit to your distain
for cheats -- that success in the MOH series is based only upon merit.
Having played most of the MOH series without resort to cheats, I
encountered quite a number of difficult, frustrating, absurd and very
time-consuming (and, by my lights, time-wasting) situations within it.
I was able to extricate myself from these only after having been
killed/reborn enough times to be presented with a situation --
randomly generated by the game -- which was sufficently
less-challanging so as to allow me to escape being killed (yet again)
and to (finally, and thankfully) complete the mission.
I submit that this is why cheats are an effective and quite valid way
of working through these more ridiculous and absurdly difficult
situations (Ridiculous and/or Absurd = You're succeeding only because
you've finally been presented with a randomly-generated set of
circumstances that allows you to do so).
I'd rather use cheats to skip those parts of the game I find
needlessly frustrating and focus on those situations within it that
are -- IMHO at least -- more skill- and judgement-based. The fact
that cheats are widely available and, apparently, widely used is
probably an indication that I'm not alone in this.
3. I also disagree with the need you seem to feel to attack people who
wish to avail themselves of cheats.
You enjoy playing the game "straight" -- and spending the time
required to do so. Fine.
Despite my defense of the practice, you probably will still find the
use of cheats to be morally and/or aesthetically repellant. That's
fine too. Nobody says you have to respond to queries posted here you
find distasteful.
But why attack people who'd rather spend their time on those parts of
the MOH game series they find satisfying, and then move on to other
things? How are they harming you, or your enjoyment of this game?
You may take the closing query as being simply rhetorical, and choose
not to respond to it. If so, that's fine too.
===
Again, I don't intend all this as a personal attack on you, or anyone
else in this newsgroup. I'm merely am trying to present my view on a
subject that I think (?) some people who post here might like to see
expressed.
Hopefully, this matter can conclude on a less vicous and disputatious
note.

Thank you very much for trying to be helpful.
My guess is you haven't been monitoring this thread in all its dubious
glory?
I don't blame you for this. Who could?
However, in one of my prior postings I did copy and paste this very
same information.
I'm aware of its existance. I think (?) I'm aware of how to use it.
I know that my efforts to employ it at the time of my initial posting
were to no avail. Hence my query.
(If you happen to be curious about how I got out of the situation that
prompted my query, an account is given in my most recent posting to
"roadrash" [see item 1].
Don't worry. The latest postings between us are far less contentious
than the others in the thread.
And, if you have better things to do with your time and would rather
skip it, I understand. Believe me, I understand!)
Thanks again.
