MOHAA Spearhead LAN Game STALLS

I am running Spearhead on my LAN. With three players the game plays
fine , thn periodically will stall (shows flashing key at bottom).
This lasts about 2 minutes then all is OK again. Games plays fine for
10 minutes then the delay repeats. Anyone have any idea about why and
how to fix? Also how do I set up as an internet "server" with the
game? I want to have several friends login to a "private" game.
